Jake's POV
I was helping my mom move and it was killing me. Kaylee doesn't know that we're gonna be moving to LA, me and the guys. I want to tell her, but I don't want to make her sad. My phone dinged and I put the last box on the truck and I pulled my phone out of my pocket.
22 missed calls Manfs, Kay, Ademir.
Damn, you can't say my friends don't love me. I had a text from Mikey.
Manfs:
Hey, we're all going to stay overnight at Clinton Rd. You coming?
Jake:
Hey, nah man. Stay safe. Who's all going?
Manfs:
Ademir, Jesus, Moreno, and myself.
Jake:
Y'all stay safe.
He replied with an okay and I went to mine and Kaylee's texts since she texted me.
Kaylee:
I don't wanna bother you if you're busy, but I can't sleep 😢
Jake:
I'm not busy. I just finished helping my mom. Want me to come over?
Kaylee:
Hailey will kill me.
Jake:
I'm gonna go to Mikey's house. Want to FaceTime when I get there?
Kaylee:
Yes.
I replied with an okay before I headed to Mikey's.
Kaylee's POV
I was waiting for Jake to get to Mikey's. I wanted to talk to him so bad. For some reason I can't sleep. To be quite honest I want to sleep beside him. My phone started ringing and I saw Jake was wanting to FaceTime and I hit answer. A minute later his face popped up causing a smile to come across my face.
"Hey, beautiful." He said.
"Hey, handsome." I said. He smiled.
"How come you can't sleep?" He asked.
"I had a weird dream and woke up and now I can't sleep." I said. He pouted.
"I'm sorry." He said. I nodded.
"It's okay." I said.
"Babe?" I heard a girls voice ask.
"Who's that?" I asked.
"Oh, a girl Mikey is talking to." He said and then looked up from his phone. "Mikey is still out. He went to Clinton Rd." He said.
"Oh, okay. You FaceTiming that girl you've been going on about?" I heard her say and saw him blush.
"Yes, now can I be alone?" He asked and then looked at me. "She's gone." He said.
"So you talk about me?" I asked.
"Of course I do." He said. I smiled a little to myself. There was a knock on my door.
"Come in." I said. Hailey walked through the door looking rough. "You okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, can you just keep it quiet. I have to work tomorrow." She said.
"I'm not even loud." I said. She rolled her eyes and walked out. I rolled my eyes. "I need to move out." I said more to myself.
"Is she being grumpy?" He asked.
"She always bitches at me for nothing." I ran a hand through my hair and pulled my sleeves down more on the hoodie. Yes, I'm still wearing his hoodie.
"I'm sorry." He said.
"It's fine." I said. He nodded.
"Are you up for a late night drive?" He asked.
"Sure." I said.
"Pack an overnight bag and I'll be there soon." He said and hung up. I smiled and got up and packed an overnight bag and I changed out of my shorts and put on joggers and I tied my hair back in a messy bun. My phone dinged and I saw Jake say he was outside. I grabbed my keys, bag and overnight bag and I walked to the kitchen and I wrote Hailey a note before walking out of the house. I locked the door and went to Jake's truck and got in the passenger seat and tossed my overnight bag in the back seat. I buckled up and he drove off.
"So, where are we going?" I asked.
"Just sit back and enjoy the ride." He said. I leaned back and just looked out the window. It was a good quiet. It was so quiet I actually ended up falling asleep.
Jake's POV
I had been driving for maybe an hour or two and I looked over and saw she was asleep and I smiled to myself. I'm really gonna hate leaving her behind. I was driving to New York since she hasn't been.

I got off the George Washington bridge and I started driving to a hotel. When I got to one, I pulled into the parking lot and parked before getting out and walking inside and to the desk.
"Hi, how can I help you?" The girl asked popping her gum.
"Hi, yeah. I need a room." I said.
"Is it just for you?" She asked.
"No, but a one bed hotel room is fine." I said. She nodded and started typing.
"It's $58." She said. I pulled my wallet out and paid. She gave me the hotel room key and I went back out to the car and opened the driver side and I grabbed my phone and I saw she was still sleeping. I shook her a bit.
"Hm?" She asked.
"Wake up, princess." I said. She woke up and rubbed her eyes.
"Where are we?" She asked.
"New York at a hotel." I said. She smiled tiredly and got out with her bag. I grabbed our overnight bags and shut the door. She grabbed the keys and locked my truck. We walked inside and went to the elevator with the girl at the desk watching us.
Kaylee's POV
We walked into our hotel room and it was pretty spacious and had one bed. I guess we're sharing a bed. I walked over and sat on the bed and he set the bags down and went into the bathroom. I kicked off my shoes and laid down. I closed my eyes and just started thinking before I felt an arm around me and him kissing my head. I smiled to myself.
"Goodnight, Jake." I said.
"Goodnight, Kaylee." He said and with that I fell asleep.

Update for you guys! But I'm finally in New York. I made it here at 11pm last night (Friday). I hope everyone is staying safe.
