Kathleen sat at the small dinner table, telling her parents all about what she saw in the dream.

Unfortunately, they were only half-listening and her mother suggested telling the "actors" downstairs.

For her, this was annoying because the Danish guy was the more perverted between the two, and the Swedish kept poking you.

The worst part was that they got into arguments all the time ... over the smallest thing. She went back to her room and got dressed, then proceeded to go outside.

There was a huge pile of mail on the porch, which smelt horrible. She checked the names on each one, and they were all addressed to the guy upstairs, Carl Robillos.

She picked it all up, even though it was hard to balance ... and took it up the stairs. It was very high, and she wasn't too keen on balconies.

She placed the mail by the door and knocked loudly, forgetting that he could possibly be recovering from a hangover.

"Hello? Mr. Robillos? Your mail was given to us by mistake!" She called.

She heard a loud groaning and the door opened. A tall Russian, hunched over with bags under his eyes answered the door.

"Da?" He mumbled.

"Our mail got mixed up." She said, smiling sweetly.

He looked at the pile of mail and grinned.

"Oh good!" He said.

"By the way, I'm the New Neighbor, Kathleen." You said, smiling.

She felt a little strange introducing herself now ... but now was better than never, right?

"I ... am Carl Robillos ..." He hiccuped.

"What are in those packages?" She asked, the smell becoming overpowering.

"The strongest cheese I could find ... I am trying to put together a mouse circus ..." He said.

His breath stank of vodka ... he was probably drunk out of his mind.

"Oh ... neat." She said, trying to remain polite.

"So, you're Kathleen. The mice told me to give you a message ... they said ... "Don't go through little door". Does that mean anything to you?" He asked.

She was a little stunned. How did he know about the little door? Was it coincidence?

"I know which one you mean ... it's all bricked up." You said.

"Never mind, then. Sometimes, the mice get it a little ... mixed up, da?" He said, smiling.

You sighed.

"Anyway, thank you for my mail ... and it was nice meeting you. до свидания, Kathleen." He said, going back inside the house and closing the door

'How rude...' She thought angrily.

-

A fog began to pick up as she made her way down to the downstairs apartment. She knocked on the door politely and she heard a familiar laugh.

The door opened and the Danish guy was standing there, looking at her in an inappropriate manner.

"Hallo, my dear. Would you like to come in?" He asked.

She didn't want to, but for some bizarre reason, she nodded.

He let her into the house and she followed him into the living room, where all over the walls were pictures of him, the Swedish guy and an English one, who she didn't know.

They all looked so much younger in those photos. And there were posters with their pictures on the wall, too. Each saying the same thing - "The Drunkard Trio". She sat on the sofa as the Swedish and the Danish did the same.

"I'm ... Kathleen, your new neighbor." She said, smiling.

"Hey yo, Kathleen! I am Angelo and this is Dan." the Swedish said.

"Who is the English guy?" She asked, pointing at one of the posters.

The others pulled a face as if they just ate something sour

"He left ... apparently, He had some "Wine" business to do at home." Dan said, sighing angrily.

"Would you like us to tell your future?" Angelo asked.

"Uh ... s-sure, why not?" She replied, not wanting to be rude.

Angelo gave her a tea cup, filled with searing hot tea.

"Don't drink the whole thing, me and Dan here can read your tea leaves!" He said.

She drank it and it tasted foul. She was glad it was over when she handed the cup to them. They crowded around it and gasped.

"Oh, my dear ... you're in danger!" Dan said.

"That, or a really handsome guy is about to sweep you off your feet!" Angelo said, smirking.

Then, a fight broke out. In all the shouting, all she could make out was "You ruined the prediction!" and "you ruined a perfectly good visit!".

She decided it would be a good idea to leave. She bid them farewell, but they were too busy fighting to care ...

-

She left and the fog had gotten very thick. She heard voices and she turned around. Her heart almost stopped when she saw Earl was looking around, with the grey cat on his shoulders.

"Hey, Josh ... do you see anything, yet?" He asked, in his monotone voice.

A spiky-haired guy's head popped up out of the thick fog.

"I found  something cool over here!" He said, laughing.

Earl rushed over and the spiky haired guy noticed her.

"Hey, that girl is staring at you, Earl!" He said loudly.

Earl looked at her and she became frozen to the spot.

'Oh no ...' She thought, her heart sinking.
