Kath ventured out of the house after putting on her shoes ... and went to where she first met Earl. She looked at the tree stump and smiled.
'I thought you were annoying ... but I guess I was taking my anger out on you that day. You're so funny ... I really misunderstood you. I guess ... the Other Earl made me realize that I love you.' Kath thought, sighing longingly.
She approached the well and lifted the lid off, breathing a sigh of relief. Suddenly, something grabbed her by the hair and began to drag her back to the house. Kathleen screamed.
"Let her go!" Someone shouted.
She saw Earl running towards her.
"Earl!" Kath breathed.
He stamped on the severed hand and she broke free.
"Hold it down!" He said.
She obeyed and he took his foot off. The hand wriggled around.
"Alright, stop!" He snapped his fingers "Hammer Time!" He said, punching the ground.
A spike appeared out of the ground, impaling the hand on it. She threw the key into the well and put the lid back on the well.
"Good thing I got here in time, Kathleen." He said, breathing a sigh of relief.
When she looked at him, he set fire to the hand with magic, which shocked her.
'Wow, he's amazing.' She thought, smiling.
She got up, ran over to him ... and hugged him.
"Earl ... thank you for stalking me." She whispered.
She heard him give a small laugh, which made a tingle go up her spine and what surprised her more, was that he returned her hug. They both looked at each other.
He smiled at her.
"I'm glad I got here in time." He said, stroking her cheek.
"How did you find me?" She asked.
"The cat led me here." He replied.
She giggled.
"I called him Ludwig." She said, smiling.
"Oh ... that's ... cool, I guess." He said.
"By the way, I didn't know you could use magic." She said, smiling.
"You never asked." He said.
She giggled.
"Kathleen?"
"Hmm?"
"I know we've only known each other a few days but ... whenever I see you ... I feel a burning sensation in my chest ... and butterflies in my stomach ..." He said.
To her surprise, he was blushing.
"I ... think I've fallen for you.." He said.
She gasped and he separated from her. He looked at the cross around her neck.
"Hey, Faizan was going to give that to Angelo for his birthday! Where did you find that?" He asked.
She explained everything ... and he listened, hanging on every word. He nodded and asked questions ... but she answered them all as best as she could. Especially about the Other Earl.
"You see ... he's the one that made me realize ... that I love you." She said, blushing.
"R-really?" He asked.
"Does this answer your question?" She breathed.
Kathleen threw her arms around his neck and kissed him. He let out a surprised squeak, which turned into a little giggle ... as he kissed back, which surprised her quite a large amount.
She broke the kiss, but he pulled her back in for another, making her giggle.
"Oh, there you are."
Earl broke away from the kiss and both of them looked around. A tall black haired man was standing there.
"Angelo ..." He mumbled.
"Wh-who is this girl? What's going on?" Angelo asked.
"Angelo ... I love her ..." Earl mumbled, fidgeting.
Angelo sighed.
"Whatever makes you happy I suppose ..." He mumbled.
Kathleen stared at him for a moment.
"Mr. Angelo.. Is your last name Algenio by any chance?" She asked.
He looked at her confused.
"Y-yes. And who are you?" He asked.
"I'm Kathleen Miling. I was asked to give something to you." She said.
Kath took the cross from around her neck and gave it to him. He looked at it carefully and almost fell over in shock.
"Wh-where did you get this?" He asked.
"I ... found it at my house. I knew it would mean a lot to someone." Kath said.
He sighed.
"Faizan..." He mumbled.
'Thailand must have really meant something to him ...' She thought.

The next day, Kathleen's parents held a garden party, where Kathleen and Earl told Angelo and the other nations about what happened to her in the Other World.
Luckily, they all believed her story and they were all happy to hear that their friend was resting in peace ... and of course, the Drunkards Trio were reunited and looked very happy to be together again.
After that ... a beautiful, magical relationship formed between Kath and Lukas ... and her mind could rest knowing that the Other Mother would never hurt anyone ever again.
