"No weapon shall prosper against me" Roosevelt had stated, he walked over to the podium slamming his hand down on the podium "Just like that old saying stick and stones may break my bones but words don't mean a thing..." he pulled his handkerchief out of his suit, patting the m&m size beads of sweat off his forehead.

"It's a lie !!!" he shouted into the microphone "tell em paster!" one of the members yelled out before going back to fanning herself "Words do mean a thing in fact there everything , just like wizards read their spells we read our scriptures to heal, to keep going to keep it moving keep it pushing....ahhh" he had spoked loudly into the mic. the whole church went crazy , hands were clapping, feet stomping, people where shouting and others were bobbing their heads.

Once the crowd settle down Roosevelt had glance around the church "we had uh...lost a member of this church recently you know Barbara Givins" he had cleared his throat "yes lord yes" a elder lady said as she fanned herself "now I know my god is amazing and he work miracles but he also do things for a reason" the crowd had gasped "believe it or not Barbara was going through struggles like us...god knew her troubles and heard her calls for help...he decided it was time for Barbara to put the suffering to rest" the elder lady had nodded slowly "amen pastor, tell em"

The service had ended and everyone was standing outside of the church greeting others and taking pictures to post on their social media accounts.

I was only here for mostly 1 thing and that was to deliver the bad news to Roosevelt about one of his grandchildren not being with us any longer.

"Girl...is that you?" I stared up to see a tall male with dread extensions in his head and a long yet revealing dress on "It depends who is asking..." I said nonchalantly, the male had giggled wrapping their arms around me tight "Ruth you still ugly with a big head! Omg" I had smiled at his sarcastic comment.

"Yeah right Andre you know I'm oh so mighty fine" he smacked his lips together making air plane noises "you almost made me cry...but uh I'll see you when I see you" he said, leaving me in my thoughts.

What in the heck is Roosevelt doing in there? I know it don't take long to count the offerings and check the treasures.

I walked up the steps to the big wooden double doors that had rose gold rhinestones craved into the wooden door, someone had pushed the other side open "Alright see you soon sister patty" some older lady had spoke as she walked down the steps "you too, and don't forget them sweet potato pies for the dinner after service next week" she reminded the other lady.

I quickly squeezed through the small gap that once was formed between the two elders and the door.

The door was shut behind me as I walked down to the alter, I turned to the right finding Roosevelt door closed.
