My stomach twists into a knot
Clenching, filling with hydrochloric acid
Burning fingers claw up my throat, scalding me
I swallow and laugh
My lungs shrink to half their size
Breathing, gasping for oxygen
Barely filling, stretching like balloons
I exhale and smile
My arms and legs freeze in place
Cemented to the floor, to my clothes
Trapping me in a glass figurine
My smile is frozen in place
My brain falters, dusty synapses falling short
Loose wires spark, shocking me
Shocking my frozen limbs that bluntly stumble onward
I smiled but I should have grimaced
