Dia and I were just about to leave when I heard a set of footsteps.

Quick as a flash my daggers were out and at the ready, I stiffened when I heard a voice.

"Wait! Wait! I finished them." A voice panted. Soon out of the shadows Hayden had emerged, I could see Dia go all goo-goo eyes in him.

Ugh I don't understand love.

I frowned, although it wasn't visible from the mask engulfing my face, hiding my features and Lilly white skin. I was shrouded in black, shadows seemed to radiate off me.

"Hayden!" She exclaimed, wrapping her arms around him.

I patiently waited for their make-out session to finish before asking, "Finished what? And how did you find us?"

"Blade told me. And I finished these!" Hayden said, holding out four circular... Arm guards.

"Arm guards? Like a shield for our forearm?" I asked.

"Not quite. They are disguised to look like that. But viola. Hidden daggers." Hayden finished, his hair slightly ruffled from where Dia's hand was just a few seconds ago.

I perked up, shifting closer to where Hayden was proudly holding the daggers.

When you shifted your arm in a certain position, it rubbed against a miniature alter, pushing the blades out at a deadly fast speed. And when you twisted your wrist back, they shrunk almost instantly.

"Sneaky." I muttered.

"Are they good for using?" Dia asked. Her voice not portraying any emotion. She might as well have been asking a stranger.

"Yes. That's why I brought them." Hayden said, strapping two on either of my wrists. "Silly." Hayden joked as Dia pouted, allowing him to strap the machinery on her wrists.

It was weird. Usually Dia was a lot more playful around Hayden. Well I kind of understand it would be weird for her to act like a teacher towards him... But still.

"Best be going. Bye Hayden. See you later." Dia said, petting me on the back as the large oaken doors opened, exposing me to the cool night breeze around us and making my necklace cool my only exposed skin.

I always wore this necklace, hardly ever noticing it or thinking about it.

The necklace is like my soul. Worth more then all of the lands treasures, especially to me.

My locket is made up out of silver, pure styllian silver. The lands finest silver. Not to mention that but it was a gift.

"Bye." I muttered, twisting my wrists a few times to adapt to the blades.

Hopefully it shouldn't be too different from my normal double swords which were still strapped by my sides. I guess I didn't need them. This was a theft mission, not a head on battle. The blades should be more then adequate.

I took the sheaths from my belt, handing them to Hayden, "Put these back in my room please." I directed. He nodded in respect and turned away.

Yeah it should be risky, giving your swords away. But if anyone did take them by force then they would end up dead on a street somewhere.

With that pleasant thought in mind I turned away again, lacing myself with Dia who was scanning the clearing. We climbed up a building, stalking off the roofs and jumping through the night, eyes alert.

Nothing really was the trouble, except the mask made my face seem clammy. But it would be over in a while.

The Gakeb's bank was visible from this distance, quite rich and big. Even from here I could see the stone pillars joining at the roof of he bank, windows here and there and guards everywhere.

Of course it has guards. But are there only guards?

Silently we ran, scooting to the edges and away from the line of sight from the patrol, skidding to a halt I grabbed Dia's arm, pointing in the distance.

She saw what I was pointing at, giving a sharp nod as she took the lead, me close behind as we bounded up the roofs and jumped straight into a window, rolling and glancing around the room.

Perfect.

If I remember correctly from last time, we go down a bit and left. Then suspend ourselves in mid air to steal something.

I was probably correct. I usually am.

Timidly I stepped forward, holding my arms up defensively. Through the dim light I couldn't see what was around us, however I could faintly make out a doorway.

Together Dia and I stroked through, she glanced around behind us as I looked ahead and to the sides.

All clear.

The hallway was long and dark, every one of my footsteps sounded like a cannon going off to me. But it was probably silent to everyone else.

Out of habit I wanted to grab my necklace, but swallowed down the urge in case I accidentally activated the dagger and stabbed myself.

Heh imagine that. Great assassin, heir to the leader of the Guild, dies by accidentally stabbing herself on a mission.

I snorted out loud.

"Shh" Dia directed. I hushed back a sorry as I dismissed the thought.

Finally we reached a landing, below us I could see a giant diamond, around twenty guards surrounding it.

Many were on watch outside the rooms and throughout the bank. The only reason the hallways and room weren't surrounded was because people didn't know it existed. When we first came we shut the entrances throughout the halls in such a way that it would be damn near impossible to open from the other side. The only way in was the window. And I bet the guards didn't jump through windows as training.

Nah. They always did boring stuff in an orderly fashion.

Dia exposed her belt and grabbed the rope that hung around it, tying one end to me as I fell forward, Dia slowly lowering me down.

I tried not to breath too heavily, although it was hard with my face feeling hot. I didn't think the mask would affect me so much.

I reached down, extending my arms and wrapping them around the Diamond, slowly feeling the steady tug as Dia hauled me back. My core strength hadn't faltered.

Until I felt dizzy again..

My head swung and my position faltered, causing me to swing and accidentally kick a wall.

All at once the guards turned on me. Their armour chinking.

Shit.
