Scotts pov
"So she wasn't home this morning?" Stiles asked me as we entered the bus."Nope. Mum said she never came home last night" I said talking about Maisy.
"You don't think she stayed with the twins? Do you?" Stiles asked as we took our seat at the back of the bus.
"I don't know. All I know is Derek's dead and my sister didn't come home, she isn't picking up her phone and I'm worried sick." I blew up.
"I'm sure she's just blowing off some steam." Stiles tried to assure me, but didn't sound convinced.
Ethan's pov
"Everything okay?" Danny asked me
"Yeah. Why?""You checked your phone three times in the last five minutes."
"Waiting for a message."
"Anything important?"
"No. Nothing."
Maisy's pov
"Thank for letting me stay with you Miss Blake. It means a lot" I said eating the breakfast she made for me."No problem. There's something special about you Maisy. I don't know what it is yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out and call me Jennifer, miss Blake is so formal"
"Okay, Jennifer" I smiled finishing my breakfast."I better get going. I'm meant to be taking Scotts shifts while he's on that stupid cross country trip. That by rights I should be at too."
"Why are you taking his shifts if you're still mad at him?"
"Because deaton shouldn't have to suffer cause Scotts an idiot"
"Ok well I have plans today so use the spare key when you get back, okay?"
"Yeah sure"
Stiles's pov
"Yo, Scotty. Hey, yo, Scotty? Still with me?" I asked."Yeah, sorry. Uh, what's the word?"
"Anachronism.""Something that exists out of its normal time."
"Nice. Okay, next word... "incongruous."
"Um, can you use it in a sentence?" Scott asked"Yes. Yes, I can. It's completely incongruous that we're sitting on a bus right now, on our way to some stupid cross-country meet after what just happened... incongruous."
"Out of place, ridiculous, absurd."
"Perfect. Okay, next word. Um, Darach. Darach, it's a noun. We have to talk about it sometime, okay? And we're gonna be stuck in this thing for, like, five hours, so why not? Next word... Intransigent."
"Stubborn, obstinate." Scott grunts in pain.
"Oh, buddy, you okay? We shouldn't have come. I knew it. We shouldn't have come."
"We had to. There's safety in numbers"
"Yeah, well, there's also death in numbers, okay? It's called a massacre... or bloodbath, carnage, slaughter, butchery, wow, that's... all right, Scott, I'm telling coach that..."
I said noticing blood seeping out of Scott shirt."No. No, no, no. I'm all right."
"Well, you don't look all right Would you just let me see it?"
"Okay." Scott sighed lifting up his shirt to show me that there was no way he was healing, it looked worse than yesterday.
"Oh, dude" I groaned.
"I know it's bad, but it's because they're from an Alpha. It'll take longer to heal."
