Emily's point of view:

I drove down to Danielle's house to pick up some of the party stuff she had gotten me for the twin's and my birthday. I would be turning thirty-three two days after them, so we decided to have the party for us both on the same day. The car was the only place I had to have some peace and quiet now that I had five children. Now I had to get out of the car and talk to more people.

I knocked on Danielle's door and she answered looking even more dishevelled than I did. She had on a cardigan with a few small holes in it and black yoga pants. She had clearly not washed her hair in a while, and she held a laundry basket full of clothes. I heard laughing and screaming from inside the house, and I tried to hold in my laugh.

"Hey, Emily! I'm guessing you're here for the party stuff?" She asked. I nodded and she let me into the house. She asked me to excuse the mess, but I told her my place wasn't much better. I came into the kitchen and saw Curtis in there with their son on his shoulders.

Yes, you guessed it, Danielle married Curtis. After Eli and I got married, she and Curtis started dating. After five years, Curtis proposed and they were married a year later. Two years after they got married, they had their first son Frazier, who is eight now. When a was four, they had their second son named Isaac, who was currently on Curtis's shoulders right now.

"Hey Em! Come for the party stuff? I bet the girls are excited to turn fourteen huh?" Curtis asked. I smiled and nodded.

"I don't know, they're on their phones so much I barely hear a word out of them now." I replied. I wasn't much better, I was on my iPhone probably more than my daughters. But now Evianna wanted a phone, and I was getting tired of saying she was too young. Scarlet and Victoria didn't get their phones until they were twelve, Evianna and the rest of the girls could wait until then.

"Well, at least they aren't climbing all over you. Isn't that right, Isaac? You big monkey!" Curtis said. Danielle laughed while she put down the basket.

"I'm a big monkey!" Isaac shouted happily. I went into the living room with Danielle to grab the stuff and left Curtis and Isaac to their own fun.

"How's Curtis's job been going?" I asked. Curtis had employment problems. He worked as the manager of a big, elegant hotel and it had kept them secure for a while. But now the hotel was going down and they were letting a lot of people go. Curtis was afraid he would be one of those people sooner than later.

"Not good. More people are getting laid off. Curtis is surprised he is still there. He's looking for more jobs just in case." Danielle replied.

"You know, Curtis is welcome to join Eli and my dad on their record company. They've been more and more successful and they are always looking for help." I suggested. She shrugged as she handed me the supplies for the party. It was mostly just decoration.

"It's a great offer, but I don't know if Curtis is interested in the whole music recording thing. But I'll talk to him about it." Danielle replied. I nodded and took that for an answer. I knew that Curtis and Danielle were proud people and had a hard time accepting help from others. But at some point I was scared that they wouldn't have a choice, so I let the offer stand.

"Sounds good. Hey, you guys are still on for dinner right? Tonight at six, alright?" I asked. It was something we did every second Friday, just to keep up with news and socialize with all of our friends.

"Yep, we'll be there. Savannah and Mark are coming right?" She asked.

"As far as I know they will be there in time. But you know them, they tend to be late at times." I replied. Danielle chuckled and nodded.
