Me and Doug have been best friends since i can remember and I dont know when but i fell in love with him. He is just so sweet, kind and smart that he stole my heart and was oblivious to it. He made me feel like the only girl in the world but im just a shadow now. A few weeks ago Doug started to cancel our plans and start to ignore me. He stopped talking to me, looking at me and acknowledging me. Ben is my other friend and hes like a brother to me , i told him everything. 

Doug pov 

Y/n has been my best friend forever and i fell in love with her. For the past few weeks i haven't been talking to her because i dont want to give away my plans of how i am going to ask her out . I want it to be perfect.

"Hey Doug can i talk to you for a minute" Says Ben as he comes up to me.

"Of course"

"I know you are planning on asking Y/n out and that is why you have been ignoring her but she doesn't know that so she thinks that you are fed up with her."

"Oh shoot. Thanks for telling me Ben , i will go and talk to her know."

Your pov

I have been in the library for the last hour waiting for Ben to show up for our project but he hasn't. I was about to pack up my stuff when i hear books drop onto the table beside where i am sat. I turn around thinking that it was Ben only to be met with Doug. I go to  stand up thinking he was waiting for someone only to be pulled back and feel a pair of lips smash against mine. The kiss is filled with love . We pull away and he is smiling like an absolute dork but i cant judge because my face is most probably mirroring his. 

"Y/n i fell in love with you at some point but i dont know when. I love you and i want to be able to call you my girlfriend. I had more of a romantic way planned but Ben told me how i was hurting you by ignoring you because i didn't want to spoil the surprise. Will you be my girlfriend?"

I smiled while nodding feeling like all my words were stuck in my throat. He leans in and pulls me into a kiss and that everyone is how i got my first boyfriend.
