Y/N POV

You stared at the man who you'd given your love to, the man who you'd missed for the past two years of your life. The father of your child. And here he was standing at the door with unshed tears in his beautiful brown eyes that you loved gazing into. His smile that you loved, that you missed was showcased once again before you as you felt your lower lip tremble.

"K-Keith" you whispered.

Your hand slowly reached out to touch his face, and as soon as you felt his skin against your hands you immediately broke down.

"Keith-" you sobbed into his chest.

He had dropped his bags and wrapped you tightly in his arms while you sobbed into his chest. All the emotions that your body had harboured over the years poured out from your system.

You could feel his tears on your cheeks as he cried too.

"Y/N" he repeated over and over again.

You couldn't believe he was here, that he was alive and that added to the turmoil of emotions.

You both slowly crumbled to floor consumed by your emotions. You gripped on tightly to his jacket, in fear that he'd disappear.

"I missed you so much Y/N" he groaned into your hair.

Placing soft kisses on your head he didn't let you go. He couldn't.

"I hate you so much" you cried hitting his chest.

"I know baby, I'm so sorry" he apologised.

"Mrs. Powers is everything alright-" you heard one of the maids say.

Turning around at the sound of a loud gasp, you saw a shocked Jennifer standing near the kitchen doorway.

"Everything's fine Jennifer- you can um- you can take a break for a while" you sniffled wiping away your tears.

Jennifer slowly nodded her head before turning to go back into the kitchen.

"Keith I-" you were about to say something when Keith pulled you into a kiss.

Closing your eyes you wrapped your arms tightly around his neck, pulling him closer to you. Tears poured down your cheeks during the overwhelming kiss, that was filled with overflowing emotions.

You felt Keith lift you up bridal style before he carried you up the flight of stairs, after closing the door with his foot.

"Keith-" you moaned but you were cut short by the sound of a loud shout.

"Mama!?" You heard your son shout sleepily.

Keith immediately froze before turning at the sound of the voice. You stood in front of Theo's open door, where you could see your son standing in his cot holding onto the bars.

"Is that-" Keith turned to look at you for confirmation.

Nodding your head you held onto Keith's hand before pulling him into Theo's room.

"Mama" Theo repeated once again his bottom lip was starting to quiver at the sight of Keith.

"Shh baby mama's here" you cooed lifting him up out of the cot. Carrying him on your waist, you turned to face Keith once again with tears of joy in your eyes.

"Theo baby" you smiled softly down at your son, who had his head tucked into the crook of your neck.

"Theo, I want you to meet somebody very special" you said making Theo turn to face his father shyly.

"This is daddy" you continued.

Keith's face said it all. Happiness. He looked ready to break down right then and there as he took in the sight of both you and his child, his son.

"D-daddy?" Your child looked at Keith with such an adorable expression.

Keith edged closer towards the two of you, looking at you first he lifted up his hand in a carrying gesture.

Carefully you moved Theo from your arms into Keiths.

"D-daddy?!" Your son repeated the word once again before grinning sheepishly.

"Daddy!" He began to clap his hands innocently, while giggling to himself.

Your hand landed on the cot to balance yourself as you stared at the beautiful sight of your husband and your son bonding.

Keith was speechless he couldn't belive it, that this splitting image of him was in his arms. Tears pinched at his eyes as a smile slowly crawled onto his face.

He was finally home

You stood by the window watching the stars twinkle in the night sky. Your stomach was filled with butterflies as you thought on Keith's return.

Seeing him at the door after all those years. All those damn years of you struggling to cope with the loss of him and having your newborn.

Were you strong enough

You doubted yourself half of the time.
He was the love of your life. He still is-

You let out a gasp when you felt his familiar touch on your bare shoulders. Closing your eyes briefly you let out a sigh of content.

"Y/N" he said softly.

He was gentle with you, scared that you'd crumble any second from his touch. His hands were forever covered with the blood of his enemies, not that it phased him but the price and the sacrifice he had taken to get rid of his enemies, had left you broken and hurt.

"I-I wasn't strong Keith. I-I wanted to be but I-" you sniffled.

He quickly lifted up your chin so you could look into his eyes. Leaning down he placed a kiss on your forehead before wiping away your tears.

"You were strong Y/N, you raised our son. You held control over this household while I was away and I'm damn proud of you. You're an excellent hard working and strong woman, who is my wife, who I love and adore and you, you were what kept me going. You are my strength what I need in my life and I need you to know that. God I lost my damn mind while I was away, just the thought of you drove me insane" he said.

"Your voice, your touch, your body, everything about you I wanted it back so badly" he groaned.

Running his hands down your sides he couldn't help but admire you. How you'd changed. You had gained a bit of weight after giving birth to your son but Keith loved it.

You let out a whimper when you felt him press you against the wall.

"I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat without you being on my mind 24/7" he continued.

You let out a moan when you felt his hands travel down the sides of your silk nightie, towards your ass.

Hoisting you up he pulled you into his chest. You wrapped your arms around his neck and stared deeply into his eyes, as he did the same.

"I missed you so much Keith" your voice quivered as a tear trailed down your cheek.

Lifting up both of your hands you placed them on his cheeks, before slowly leaning in to kiss him.

Your lips met halfway and it felt perfect. Words couldn't describe the turmoil of emotions you were feeling right now, but they easily flowed and spoke for themselves through the kiss.

Neither of you could pull away from one another. You were afraid that this was just some dream and that you'd wake up all alone.

But it wasn't and that was perfect.
