Aurora Borealis

Lights dance across the sky

Clouds that once drifted by

Hidden by everchanging light

A chance for hopes and dreams to fly

Auburn, yellow, pink and green

Creators of a mystical sheen

Enveloping all that falls in its path

The setting for a perfect scene

Captivating beams leave no shadows in the snow

Even the eddies of dust seem to glow

None can turn away from the mesmerizing veil

Threads of colour never cease their flow

Nothing to vanquish, nothing to cry

The night time air seems to sigh

Relaxed, content with its beautiful prize

The world singing its lullaby
