Author's Note:
Hello, my lovelies :)
I managed to update sooner than I expected and I really hope you like this chapter. I know that you're thinking that Dom is soft and just a big teddy bear but don't forget that maybe Aleera had reasons to fear him... I'll just say that much so read to find out :3
Other thing I want to talk about is the threats. I know it may be a little confusing right now but I promise it'll get better and you'll understand. So, please, just bear with it a little longer. But I would like to hear your opinions on the matter. Who do you think it is? A friend or someone knew?
Anyway, I'm rambling and I know you guys don't have the patience to hear me so I'll let you guys read :)
Enjoy!
Chapter 9
I didn't know what to answer, taken aback by his open friendliness and relaxed attitude towards a complete stranger, so I just smiled and grabbed his hand, shaking it lightly. He smiled and I actually felt it was genuine, something that made no sense to me. Clearing my throat, I tried to say something since, the last thing I wanted, was to be rude to them. That and look like a complete moron.
"Nice to me you, too." I replied softly.
"She's got a voice." He teased and I couldn't hide the small smile that stretched my lips. "We finally get to meet you, that fuckface behind you never shuts up about you."
Dominic grunted and cussed at him, making Scott laugh but he took a step back with his palms held high, saying he meant no harm. The woman then came to us, smiling widely too and stretched out her hand for me to shake it. She was a little taller than me but not much, though, with straight blonde hair with a dark pink streak near her face, a ring on her lip and a star tattooed on the corner of her left eye. She had green eyes and she was beautiful, like a doll, thin but curvy, long hair, easy smile but eyes that had a steel tint to them. I had the sensation she was a tough woman, that put up with no shit from anyone.
"Hello, I'm Anya, nice to meet you." Anya told me gently, her voice soft and gentle like the winter's first snow.
"Hi, nice to meet you." I returned the smile and, then, all of them came to me to say 'hi'. The third to walk towards me was another dark haired guy, with brown eyes and a killing smile. Rixon was a complete tease and enjoyed messing up with Dominic. With his hair falling over his eyes, many piercings on his ears, lips and eyebrows and vivid chocolate eyes, he would be a scary dude but the first thing that came to my mind, when he introduced himself, was that he was like a big teddy bear. Except that he could turn from funny and easy going to a freaking badass mobster in less than thirty seconds. But wich one of them was different?
Then came Jeremy, a dark blonde guy with blue eyes and a somber expression but still managed to look welcoming and not at all threatening towards me. He seemed reserved and very much aware of his surroundings, somewhat vigilant and fiercely protective of his friends. He was the complete opposite of the last one, Patrick, that one seemed bipolar. When he had walked towards me, that big, menacing looking dark haired man with steely grey eyes, I had unconsciously step back towards Dominic, who had narrowed his eyes on the man. Tattooed, pierced and with almost shaved head, he should have made me shake in my boots but then, well, then he showed me how wrong I was.
He had crushed me into a bear hug, making me gasp and squeak. His thunderous laugh quickly stopped when Dominic violently smacked his head, frowning at Patrick as he enveloped me in a somewhat possessive hug. His strong arm was crossed over my chest, pinning me to him.
"Back off, asshole."
"Jeez, boss, I was just being friendly." Patrick pouted, yes, pouted and winked at me before going to lean against a black trunk on our right side. Rixon smirked and punched his arm, playfully, mocking him. "Nice to meet you, kitty."
