Twenty Six

I woke up and couldn't feel his arm around me anymore. I heard my piano from downstairs. I opened my eyes and the curtains were still shut, my room felt warm. I slowly hopped out of bed and walked to my closet placing my gym pants on and my grey gym bra. 

I walk downstairs looking at the stairs like they were the worst thing in the world. I looked towards my piano and saw Daniel playing the piano and all of the boys harmonizing and singing see you again. Kelsey on the hoverboard filming for them.

I stood there with my arms crossed watching them until they finished. "What are we captioning it?" Kelsey chirps.

"Well you need to say this week's words are "See you again," dedicated to a friend of ours, get better soon," Jonah says. Kelsey types and they all notice me.

"That was really sweet but you don't need to act like he is okay," I say. I place my hair behind my ear and walk to the kitchen. They all followed me.

"He is okay Noah," Kelsey sighs. I grab out some orange juice and seven glasses.

"No he isn't Kels, and it's okay to say he isn't," I claim, passing them all there drinks. 

"Noah..." Zach mumbled. I slurp down my drink. 

"I am going to run, see you guys at the hospital," I say slowly pouring myself water in my bottle. And grabbing my phone.

"Can we come?" Zach asked.

"Do you guys even run?" I asked placing my phone in my back pocket and letting the headphones hang. I grab one piece and place it in my ear.

Kelsey laughs and the boys look to her, "What?" Corbyn asks.

"I just can't picture you guys running..." She says losing it.

"Well who ever can run is welcomed too," I say walking to the door. Two people follow me and I open the door. They shut the door behind me and I turn and see Jack and Daniel.

"Did you guys just want to run to make sure I don't do anything stupid?" I ask.

"No we just want to run, gosh," Jack says. I laugh and lick my lips.

"Well try to keep up," I smirk. I start to run and press play on my music. 

Fast car by Jonas Blue begins.

Jack puffs and falls onto the floor, "Gosh you do this every morning?" He says in between breaths. 

Daniel and I laugh and I pass Jack my drink bottle. He turns over and looks at the waterfall, his mouth widens.

"I come here to clear my head," I say sitting on a rock next to the waterfall. 

"I would too," Daniel says sitting beside me. I look down at the water pouring off the rock.

"You know when you said running, I pictured running to like a house down the street..." Jack says in between breaths. 

"Come on dude," Daniel says walking to Jack and lifting him up. They both sit next to me and I laugh before we all go silent listening to only the pouring of the water.

"Thank you," I say breaking the silence. Daniel looks to me.

"What for?" He asked.

"Not listening to me and coming here. I needed you guys," I lean my head on Daniel's shoulder.

"We needed you too," Daniel says holding my hand. I smile as all three of us look to the waterfall.

"You wanna go in?" I asked pulling away from Daniel. They raise an eyebrow. I jump up and smirk, dragging my shoes off and placing my phone on them. I pull my pants down and was wearing just my Calvin Klein underwear with my workout bra. 

The boy's mouths were wide open and I scoff before jumping into the water. I come up to the surface and see Daniel pulling his shirt off and his pants with him in just his boxers, he takes his shoes off and jumps in after me.

He swims back up and we smile at one another before looking at Jack. "Mr. Avery can you please accompany Daniel and me in this water," I smile at Jack. 

"Come on Jack, when do we ever get to chill out like this?" Daniel asked. Jack smiles before copying what Daniel did and jumping in. The water splashing on my face as his body made contact with the water.

"I had a feeling you guys would be here," I hear Kelsey's voice approach us. I look and see three of the boys and Kelsey. She was already in her swim suit and I smile.

"You gonna join??" I ask. She smiles before jumping in and the boys all look at us confused. Corbyn shrugs and does what the boys did.

"Come on puff fish, swim for us," I laugh looking up at Jonah. Puff Fish was a nickname Kels and I made for Jonah. Long story.

"ZACHARY JUMP!" Daniel yells. The boys join us and jump in. I smile to myself and swim around. I look to Corbyn and Kesley, Corbyn's arms around her waist and being goals. 

I felt like I was frozen yet again. Looking around at my surroundings feeling like I was home, it felt more like home than the hospital did.

Zach swimming to Jack and discussing to him about how cold the water was. Jack laughing it off and splashing him in the face ignoring his statement.

Jonah swam to Daniel with his mouth puffed out following my instructions. Daniel laughing and then telling Jack, Jonah, and Zach that he was going to dive for a shiny object he could see.

I look at my reflection in the water, a girl who seemed happy. I look back up at everyone, I was. I would come here to think and never normally allowed so many people but it is because they had made me felt like I was safe in their arms or their company. They made me laugh and made sure no one hurt me like I had been hurt in the past.

Daniel swam towards me. His hair soaked and his bare chest just standing out. I lick my lip and look up at him. His hand moves up to my face and he moves my wet hair out of the way and rests his hand on my cheek. His thumb moving slowly side by side. I smile and he smiles. 

He chuckles, "I don't know what I would do without you Nugget." 

I pull his hand and kiss it. "Me neither Seavey." 

"I don't want to lose you, I wanna always be the one holding your hand and kissing you. I want to see you face obstacles like these with me by your side. I want to argue with you and then watch movies that will make us cry. I want to laugh until we pee ourselves. I just want to be with you, Noah..." He spoke his voice cracking at some words. My heart was beating fast while he was speaking. 

"I am not going anywhere Daniel because I want to do all of those as well. Why the sudden speech though?" I question.

"Just when I woke up this morning and saw you lying there, dry tears on your skin and your hair messy, holding onto your blanket like you were scared. I just wanted to wake up beside you and be the reason you smile in the morning, be the reason you aren't scared of losing someone so special to you." He continues, still making my heart beat fast. 

I stayed silent before my hand wrapped around the back of his head and I pulled him in. I kissed him like there was no tomorrow. I didn't want to lose this boy.
