Tunnel To Warren
==============================

Gravity pulls them to their designated direction, about 1,802 miles below the Earth's surface. The twist and turns of the path unknown sent a tingling sensation through her skin, and for the first time in a while, (Y/N).... was genuinely thrilled with what she's experiencing. It's evident from the shrieks she couldn't refrain through every twist and turns in a maze that the pooka had went ahead to dig into. The echoes resonated through the tunnels, the warm wind blowing through her hair, it was nothing like she ever expected.

The tunnel merged and the trio met in the middle in their own area to slide on, the fearless Guardian of Wonder doesn't seem so fearless anymore and the Guardian of Winter was far too relaxed in his lying position. Just as they thought that they were nearing the core, (Y/N) falls into a newly opened crater, taking her somewhere different than the other two. Her descend led her to an open windowed path where she was presented with an overlooking view of an Earth beneath the Earth, a luscious green and purple giving life to plants thriving under the layers of dirt and roots.

Her grey sclera spotted not a single soul anywhere, it's a paradise that no man had ever set foot on, not that the guardian had ever allowed it

Her grey sclera spotted not a single soul anywhere, it's a paradise that no man had ever set foot on, not that the guardian had ever allowed it. She rode the darkness once again until the light of the end draws near, enveloping her yet again with the glimmering rays she barely have a clue on how it goes through above them. Once flown out of the tunnel, a cushion of leaves and petals broke her fall, showering her head welcomely to the scent of lavender, grass, paint, and crisp morning air. It's a different entrance compared to North and Jack whereas they had to hit solid ground just a few feet to her right.

The winter lad groaned, removing his face off the ground, his jaw hanging at the sight of her and the seemingly convenient pile that was readily made just for her. "Well that's unfair," he said towards the smirking pooka sitting on a boulder.

"Being unfair is blocking you lot out of my Warren when she's the only one who's supposed to be 'ere." Bunnymund was more relieved to have finished setting it up before she came in, otherwise he would've let her get crushed under the weight of two men. He can't have that now, can he? "It's all cleaned out after a successful Easter, if you can spot an egg or two left, then you're lucky."

(Y/N) removed herself off and hovered back in the air to get a better look of her surroundings. Rosy Trumpet Trees covered a few hills and ruins can be found everywhere—covered in moss and shrubs that was carefully trimmed for a path. Small plants and boulders littered everywhere, each seemingly glowing as it lives by with the underground stream in a metallic purple color. Her mouth gaped slightly at the oddity of the place, wondering how far it reached beyond where she stood.

A large hand rests on her shoulder as the bearded man recognizes the expression of awe he once had, "Quite a view, am I right? There's no place better suited for you than here."

"Indeed it is, Nicholas," she nods, glancing to the soul who had allowed her to move here. "Pardon me but if you may, Aster, I would like to see where I could make my dwelling. More or less a thousand pure souls are lying in wait and at risk." She had left her duties on hold long enough. Hundreds and thousands of people die each day— at least a fifth of that number are the ones she's taking care of— and there's not enough time for goofing off as she just did. No, she shouldn't even be wasting precious time gaping at the scenery before her.

Her guardian colleague led her to a place she may use as a sanctuary, hidden inside an old temple where he found himself to be most at peace, spacious and had a good echo resonating the musky walls. In that way, his ears would be able to keep track of any sound she may utter whenever in trouble, "This ain't much, but it beats the other ones near the area. It's fairly near where I unwind after the season so I could come to aid when you need me."

The winter lad couldn't help but whistle, chuckling as he hears his own tune bouncing back to his ears

The winter lad couldn't help but whistle, chuckling as he hears his own tune bouncing back to his ears. North wasn't aware that such a place exist under these old entrances, if not for show or a tunnel leading to another exist somewhere in the world. "Good thinking, Bunny. No shadowy creature would come near with those good senses of yours," said the rotund man, his hands on his waist as he wear his words with pride, as if everything was as he planned to begin with.

"This place also has some sort of barrier, right? Like back at the pole?" Jack asks, knowing full well how North and Toothiana hides their own sanctum.

"Sure it has, mate. Everything's sealed shut right after all the eggs got out. We'll be safe here for another 364 days 'till Easter."

(Y/N)'s attention shifted from their conversation and to the small thud around the corner. She curiously went to check and finds a small object rolling to the corner, an egg, it surprisingly lifted itself up with its tiny little legs and bumps its head below her feet, which then made a notion to look up towards her. The others had seen the interaction and was waiting for a reaction, this was her first time seeing one after all. The egg was uncolored, a plain white with dust sooting atop its head, she leans down to take a closer look out of curiosity. Unlike the others whom she couldn't see any physical form, this one was alive and yet... non-living, an animated object without a soul.

She picks it up with both hands, showing the little guy to everyone, "How lucky am I to find one now?"

Bunny chuckles, scratching the back of his head, "Guess not everyone got out to the surface after all."

=================================

I deleted a lot out of the storyline by now, and I was honestly beginning to hesitate on it. At first glance, it did fit, but after looking at the ending I made for it, I was like 'how the heck am I gonna connect this with that one?'

And I personally don't like how they just up and say 'yup, I'm crushing on them but I don't know how to say it' 'cause that's definitely what had happened in the first timeline that I made this book. 😣
