I give her a blank state as she elaborates.

"How. Do. You. Know. Nathan Dragward"? Lucy said dragging each word out and pausing between each word, I'm guessing for my benefit, although I found it to be an insult to my intelligence. sort of. I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, but I'm also not dumb!

I like to think of myself as a happy medium.

I could hear an internal snort from the back of my mind.

Maybe I was under the happy medium when it comes to common sense.

Snapping back to reality I've realised I haven't replied yet.

"Who's that?"

A very long conversation with Lucy later, left my head throbbing with a strained headache.

After answering most questions, which sounded liked they belonged to an interview, conducted by a gossip magazine, Lucy sprung up from her seat clapping like an excited seal.

A cute seal. like the ones that performed at those sea life centres.

This was the result of telling her everything!

Everything from the minute I got lost, to my assault of the random boy in the hallway, who I now know to be Nathan.

I sigh in defeat as Lucy bounces round our dorm.

"I can't believe this!" she squealed.

I rolled my eyes. That's starting to sound like her catchphrase.

"You two meet coincidently, in an unsuspected place, then find each other in day to day life, and then, and then, and then you two fall in love." Another deaf defying squeal fills the dorm.

If I had water I would have done a spit-take. fall in love?! I only just met the guy.

I think I might fancy him a little but that's just saying after speaking to him for a brief amount of time.

A scarlet blush made its way across my face. ok maybe it's more of a little bit of fancying, I think I might have a crush developing. not love.

He just kept popping up in my mind. the way he spoke, his stance, the way he smiled and laughed.

My heart beat started to accelerate, my palms started to sweat and my blush grew to the point of complete face consumption.

Just a crush right?

I hear a snort at the back of my head.

great even my subconscious is against me.

I shake the thoughts away. I saw movement coming from my right so I whisked my head round. it couldn't be Lucy as she too busy twirling round in front of me, singing about my non-existing love life.

I practically jump out of my skin as I see Lilly standing next to me.

" What did you do?" Lilly asked me, in a very mentally concerned tone.

"I didn't do anything." I huffed at her. crossing my arms like a five year old.

Suddenly my feet got so much more interesting when Lilly raised her perfectly arched eyebrow.

Lucy bounced excitedly over to Lilly, grabbing her by the hands and swinging her round in a very questionable dance.

" We haven't even been here a week, and April over there"-she said pointing at me-" has already fallen prey to cupids love arrow."

Lilly spun round and looked at me in disbelief.

"Wow. Really?"

She then paused and flicked her silky, long black hair behind her shoulder.

"So who's the lucky guy?"

Feeling flustered I mumbled I'm going to take a shower and left it at that.

Bright and early in the morning I head off to the library before any of my classes. I haven't lost myself in a good book lately and I've really missed it. So I pick out a favourite of mine and begin to read. Not at all trying to escape from the constant hounding from my roommates. Nope not me. I just want to sit and read my book.

A warning bell rings through the library all too soon, alerting the students that they have around five minutes to get to class.

I check the book out and walk to my first lesson, maths.

Maths was a subject that always came naturally easy to me, even from a young age.

As I walk into the classroom, names on sheets of paper have already been preset on the tables.

As I walk over to where mine is clearly printed, I feel a pair of eyes boring into me.

I look directly across the table to meet a pair of beautiful blue eyes.

" Right everyone, take your seats." the teacher said loud enough for everyone to hear.

"We have a class project that will link and spread over into your information technology studies."

The room erupted with whispers, but I was still too captivated by those beautiful blue eyes to pay much attention.

Another one of my famous scarlet blushes erupted, covering my cheeks.

"That's all, work on the project will begin immediately. now move to sit with your partners!"

Wait, what? I must have missed the project details! and who's my partner?!

"I'm not moving, so you better come over here." I snap my neck up to look directly at Nathan.

"Why would I move next to you?" I blush, again, and say shyly.

He gives me a 'are-you-a-complete-retard look'

"Because we're partners." he said slowly, dragging the last word out.

I give him a shocked look, with an extra added attractive effect of my mouth hanging wide open.

I got up and moved next to him as he let put a sigh.

Then something flashed in my brain. when I first met him he was wearing a blue uniform.

How and why is he now in a white one?
