I'm a mage!?

I,adam wicker, woke up on a park bench with my head on a woman's lap.Sure, it does sound like an anime cliche but it did happen.When I opened my eyes, I saw that I was in the park that was down the street from my school.

"You still alive sleepy head?" I heard a woman's voice. I looked up and it was her.The girl I saw that day.Her red eyes were like staring into my soul. Her face was like 10 centimetre from mine."wait a minute"I realised. My face turned red and I squirmed of her lap and fell on the ground.

"well that's not a way to act when you're in that position,well your head was heavy and made my thighs stiff so thank god you moved"the girl said as I recovered from the pain and the embarrassment."the first time I rest my head on a girls lap was labelled a pain" I thought with a saddened expression.

"Who in the hell are you and how did I get here?" I said with a serious look on my face and stood up.She sat on the bench with her arms and legs crossed."I'm Lucia Aurell, a 3rd degree mage,user of necromancy and dark magic and the question to how you got here was I ask Sir Fredrick and his comrades help carry you here"

"A mage? you've got to be joking.there's no such thing as mages in this era" I laughed half heartedly. Lucia stared at me without emotion."It's not a joke.I'm a mage and so are you." It took me a whole 5 seconds to react to what she said."Hey,are you mentally stable or not.Even if you are a mage, I'm sure as hell am not one" I said louder than expected but Lucia didn't even flinch.

She stood up and said "if you were not a mage then how did you see me outside of the school?the spell I used  made my own presence invisible and you looked directly at me" .No way, I thought that it was just my imagination.Did I really see her at that time.

"How can I be a mage? I've never been able to use magic before so how can I be one now" I was curious about magic before so I Researched about it and tried to use spells but nothing worked.Lucia just sighed."Jeez man, you're boring me out. There are three ways to become a mage,one of them being when you turn 16 you will be able to use magic.In other words your a mage starting from your 16th birthday and I'm assuming it's today since that church member tried to kill you just now."

Oh yeah I forgot,Emilia tried to kill me.I had a sudden realisation. I remembered being stabbed in the gut by her. I checked myself.My school uniform had no blood on it and I didn't have a hole in my stomach.I was speechless.

"Relax adam,I healed your wound with an elixir I bought from an alchemist in this country" Lucia was already back to sitting on the bench cross legged while holding up an empty test tube.I sighed with relief but I was surprised."How did you know my name was adam?" Lucia put the test tube on the bench and hold out my wallet."your train pass help with that.Might I say that you carry a ridiculous amount of money for a high schooler" I snatched it right out of her hand checked if anything was missing and put it in my pocket.

I sat on the end of the bench "so let me get this straight,You are mage,I am one from today onwards You healed me with the contents of that test tube.So far I get it but why did emilia tried to kill me today and why did you call her a church member?"

Before she could answer my question,she looked at a building in the distance in front of us. It was sunset and the buildings windows were flared except for one that was opened."MOVE NOW!!!" Lucia shouted and push me and herself of the bench.A gunshot made a hole in the bench We sat on.

"She's good to find me so quickly even though I put up a strong barrier around the park" Lucia grunted."Who shot at us?"I said."Who else?" she replied.

Inside that window,the person using a high-powered sniper rifle was emilia,who was displeased that she missed."that girl knows I'm here" She picked up the sword next to her and jumped out the window."This will be fun".
