Her finger hovered over the call button as she rechecked the number.

She'd at least dialed the number correctly. She thought to herself.

It'd been five years since the day everything Devika was holding inside her heart was spilled open. The wound would never go, she knew it, but the affection and courage her parents showed was commendable, and to her surprise, surprising.

It was shocking to see her grandmother coming to her aid, and telling everyone off who looked at her with pity. Guess, humans can not know even their closest ones fully. She got to see her grandmother's determined sight, when one day she took her in her arms, and led the way to the counselor as Devika was too nervous to relive the horrible past in front of a stranger on her own.

Five years ago, she'd called on the same number for help, and it'd done her a great deal of good. Her uncle was where he deserved to be, and she took content in it.

Now, she was calling on the same number for different reasons. This time it was she who intended to help the ones that'd been through the same. It was the first step in making a change, and I took pride in that.

Finally, she pressed the call button, and made the decision of choosing her goal.

I'd never been happier. Happy because, sometimes, other don't have the courage to take that one step towards courage on their own. And Devika managed to be a part of that change. It was inspired by a man, whom she didn't even know. But, she took that one step towards a bright and hopeful future herself, and I was proud of her.

So, be the change, as they say- Power lies within you, and you have the power to change me.
