Chapter 6
Carter's POV
"Do you have to go?" I whined.
"Yes baby you know I need to talk with my dad. I'll be gone for most of the day.."
"Mmmm.." I whined.
"Aw, does my baby want another kiss for bye bye?"
I giggled,"Mhmm.."
He leaned down and kissed me very softly.
Once we were done, and after dad honked the car horn about 7 times, he left, and I was alone, once again.
I sighed, and walked upstairs to my room.
When I entered my room I nearly jumped out of my skin.
Ben was just sitting on my bed, and poking Link's sleeping belly.
I shrieked and stumbled back on my butt.
"Clumsy.." He chuckled.
"Mean." I pouted, standing and shutting my door, and walking up to him.
"I finished it." He stated, pushing Link in the floor. The poor cat had no idea of her surroundings until her body fell to the floor with a soft "thump".
"Finished what?" I questioned, a puzzled look visible on my face.
"You're present." He said as if I dropped the subject completely, he looked at my shirt. "I adore you in my shirt, my princess.."
I blushed and crossed my arms over my body,"What present..?"
"This one.." He laid me on my bed and held my head in his lap.
I gave him a look full of confusion, and he only nodded, letting his fingertips glide over my eyelids, making them seal shut.
I relaxed as I soon felt as if my body was asleep, but the world I was seeing seemed, and felt completely real.
*The Dream*
I wore a long black gown, it fell to the floor helplessly loose,my golden locks seemed to be a faded yellow, I wore no shoes, and there were some tears in my dress. I looked in a shattered mirror, I seemed to resemble Zelda, but I looked completely different as far as appearances went.
I seemed to be in a stone room, each stone brick was cracked or has moss growing on it. Sitting on a soft bed, with blue silk blankets that were ripped and had blood stains on them from a combat that happened in this room.
I smoothed my bodice and gown, and held my hands in my lap, and waited.
It only seemed minutes passed, when Ben ran through the cobblestone doorway, and stopped to look at me. He approached, slowly and carefully, holding something behind his back in one hand, the other held a forever blood-stained steel sword.
He wore a tattered green shirt, the same for the tights, and he was barefoot as was I. The familiar dirty blonde hair peeked out perfectly from his faded green hat.
Setting the sword aside, he lifted my hands and placed his head on my lap. I set my hands on top of his head, and smiled down at him.
"My princess.. how I have missed your presence.." He whispered softly.
"I thought we'd never hold each other again." I admitted.
"I promised you I'd see you again.. it's been so long since I've seen you, though I thought of you every morning when the sun rose, until the time came of dusk when the sun set.." He told me.
"You are too kind to me.."
"No, for I have not been kind enough. I dread how long we were apart, I hate I had to leave you."
"But if you haven't left, I'd be dead." I rubbed his head lightly.
"I know.. I fought through everything to get to you.. pain, sorrow, anger, and now I'm here.. I'm here now.. to save you.. nothing will ever break apart our love, my princess.." He looked up at me with blood tears in his eyes.
I only gave him a sad smile, before he cupped my cheek in his hand. "My love for you has never" been so strong.. it's what keeps me alive.. and breathing.." He said.
I smiled even more, as he placed the small flower crown with a small emerald gem in the center flower. "A gift for my beauty.." He said.
"Thank you, my Savior..." I adjusted his hat.
He gave a small yawn in response,"My dear.. I have fought and fought for days on end, and I want to spend as much of my time with you as I can, but could we please rest for awhile? I feel so tired.."
"Yes, we may rest.. the war has kept me awake countless nights.." I laid up on my bed, and he laid next to me, pulling me into his arms and chest, he pulled his shirt off and slid it over my head and slid my arms through the sleeves to keep me warm.
I pulled the silk blankets around us, happy and complete that he was finally with me.
"I love you, Carter.." He leaned down, and kissed me softly, and gently.
I have waited so long to kiss him again, and now he's finally here, and I'll never let him will away again..
