'Calypta Halledro!' Responding to her password with a dramatic swing for the first years, the enormous portrait on the wall known as the fat lady opened up to reveal the Gryffindor common room which was now filling with students climbing up through the portrait hole. Lily walked up the staircases

absent mindedly to the fifth year girl's dormitories, then remembered that she was in the sixth year, and went up another flight of stairs to slump onto her bed and fall asleep almost instantly. She could hear Ainsley go out of her cage to hunt, and Lily could feel her eyelids becoming extremely heavy so she closed them.

All of a sudden, Ainsley was teaching Chloe and Daxton to do the splits in the great hall. The owl had a very strong and rough voice, and was yelling at them for not doing it properly, while Professor Toekoms was brushing her hair into a braid.

'Lily, wake up' a voice in her ear whispered. Lily groaned. 'Lily' the voice said again, this time a bit annoyed. She slowly turned herself around in the bed, but failed to open her eyes. 'Lily!' the girl yelled.

'Go away' Lily felt her pillow at the tip of her fingers, and pulled it over her ears.

'Nevermind then, it's okay, I don't care if you miss breakfast, or if you're late for your first class, you're already the last one to leave, and I know that McGonagall won't be happy.' Lily didn't move. The person stood quiet. She could tell that she was staring at her. 'Merlin's beard, Lily, wake up!' Finally, Lily slowly managed to open her eyes, struggling in the process. In front of her was standing Alice, in her robes and her arms crossed.

'Good thing I fell asleep in my robes.' Lily yawned, looking down at her crumpled clothes. 'I don't need to get dressed.' Alice laughed. She helped her get ready, by packing her spellbooks into her bag. Since she didn't have time to brush her hair properly, Lily put her hair in a really bad ponytail and sped out the door.

'Are you taking Potions on Newt level this year?' Alice asked as they ran through the portrait hole and down the staircases.

'Well, seeing as I want to be a Potioneer, most likely, yes.' Lily panted from running. 'I got an outstanding in every subjects except for Divination and Astronomy where I got Exceeds Expectations. What'd you get?' The sixth year was when you decided what you wanted to be when you're older, and you started working on more difficult and specific classes to reach your goal. They had now reached the last landing and were half-running to the great hall to make breakfast.

'Of course you did.' She said, half laughing. 'I got a few O's and a bunch of E's. Maybe we'll be taking potions together again like old times! Of course, I want to be an Auror so we won't be studying the exact same things bu-'

'Are the dungbombs ready?' Someone yelled from behind them. 'Can't wait to see the look on his face!' Sirius interrupted, brushing past Lily's shoulder as he ran down the hall. Alice rolled her eyes.

'We've got to get there fast though,' James yelled after him and again brushed Lily's shoulder.Just as she were about to continue their conversation, she could hear Remus and Peter whispering.

'Yeah, he's a complete nutter. For some reason I think he's with ... well you know...' They walked past them and Lily never got to hear the rest of the sentence. They ate their breakfast quickly and didn't talk much after that. Finally, McGonagall came to ask them about their career choices and then would give them the appropriate timetables. It wasn't a long wait because most people had gotten to breakfast a long time ago and she came to talk to them.

'Prewett, Evans, both of you are obviously good to go on to your career paths of choice so I'll just hand you your timetables,' she gave them each a very large and organised timetable that was
