I yawn and open my eyes, rubbing them slightly to have a clear view.
In front of a mirror is Mukti applying lip-gloss on her lips while smacking them together to get the perfect look.
She is wearing a white tank top with a purple shrug and a jean shorts with black boots. She is looking good. I will give her that she knows how to make herself look good.
She smirked at me while she made her way out of the room.
Hmm, why did she smirk at me? Did I do something wrong or did she see my blush last night? But how can she see it as I cover myself with quilt last night from head to toe?
Ok, it's time to be Sherlock Holmes. Ok, so when I open my eyes she is standing in front of the mirror getting ready. She gets ready to go for class. And she will smirk at me if I am again getting late for class. So that means I am late for class.
"What the "I shout as I look at the clock beside my bed.
It shows 7:30 AM that is mean I have only 30 minutes to get ready for class and take breakfast.
I rushed in washroom take bath wear jeans with a black top and wear my converse. I dashed out or room while looking at my wristwatch. I have exactly 10 minutes to reach my class in time and from the scolding of the professor.
As I made my way in the class, all seats are taken except one.
That is beside Manik.
Kill me now.
I silently take a seat beside Manik as he was busy chatting with his friend.
I take out my pen and copy as Engineering Chemistry professor come in class.
Everyone gets up to wish Mam good morning.
As everyone settles down Mam starts giving the intro of unit 1.
"Good Morning Baby Girl!"Manik whisper in my ear.
"Good Morning" I replied irritatingly.
"Why so moody? Get up on the bad side of the bed."He replied amusedly.
"No! But see someone ugly face in morning "I again told him irritatingly.
Can't he see that we are in middle of a lecture?
"Oh! It is so bad that you have to see your face every morning. Now I got the reason for your bad mood daily." He replied me teasingly.
"Ugh! You are impossible "I replied frustratingly.
"Tell me something that I don't know. I know that I-m-possible "He replied me while copying the notes from the whiteboard.
Hey when did Mam start writing on board and when did he start copying.
I hurriedly start copying notes on my notebook before Mam Start erasing it.
Miss Pooja speaks up "Ok Class Now I am going to assign a partner for you who will be your partner for rest of the SEM."I groaned along with the rest of the class. Miss Pooja does not give a damn as she goes down the list, student reluctantly shuffles around to seat beside their assigned partner.
"Nandini Murthy" Miss Pooja say and I raise my hand.
"Manik Malhotra, "Miss Pooja says and besides me, Mr. Jerk raised his hand.
OH, MY GOD.MANIK.... My chemistry partner? For entire Sem. No way, no how, Not so Okay! Someone, please help me.
Every Girl in the class gives me an envy looks because I got Manik as my chemistry Partner.
"Hey, Baby Girl so it seems like we both are stuck together for whole SEM." He smirks at me.
"Unfortunately "I replied none chantingly as I glare at Miss Pooja.
Does she think it is an excellent idea to pair the captain of soccer with quite a timid girl like me? This woman is Illusional as she does not know the chemistry between Mr. Jerk and me, which is very weak. We might set the lab on fire with our cooperation or you can say no cooperation as partner and that will make her see the reality that how wrong she was to pair me with Mr. Jerk.
Miss. Pooja finally finishes assigning the seat.
"Ok Class look at the partner assigned to you. You will be struck together with your partner for this SEM.One more thing I will not change the partner under any circumstances and under any condition so you have to go with it." She told all of us, eyeing Mr. Jerk beside me while making her way out of class.
She must know that he is a troublemaker.
She literally kills the fun of my college life by making him, my partner.
I look at him as he eyed me teasingly.
He rubs his hand gleefully as he told me "Hey Partner."
Some one Save me now.
Like seriously Aiyyappa! I whine in my mind.
