Thanks for the character @error45392 . Skylar belongs to @error45392

(P.S. You said band tee, so I just chose a band that I think is pretty good.)

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! I slammed my hand down on my alarm. Ugh. 6:15 already? It feels like I just fell asleep. I rolled out of bed and headed to the bathroom.

I looked in the bathroom mirror and saw that my brown hair was a tangled mess. I pulled a brush through it, and eventually braided it back. I looked in the mirror once more an almost spitting image of my mom. Slightly frizzy brown hair, bright green eyes, tan skin. Same facial features, almost the same physical appearance. My personality, on the other hand... Well, let's just say I agree with my dad a lot (when I see him) and not so much with my mom. My mom blames my dad because she has to raise me "alone with no help whatsoever", as she loves to tell me. I don't agree with that at all, but whatever. I love my weekends with my dad, even though there aren't many.

I head back to my room to get my normal outfit of skinny jeans, black converse, and a Black Veil Brides t-shirt. I grabbed my bag, and threw my phone and earbuds in the side pocket.

I ran downstairs to the kitchen. "Hey Mom."

"Hi Skylar. Really, another band shirt?"

"Yeah. That's pretty much the only kind of shirt I wear. Didn't we have this conversation yesterday?"

"I just really think you need to expand your horizon a bit."

"Sure Mom. You say that about everything." Really, what's the problem with wearing band shirts? Oh yeah, there isn't one.  I grabbed a bowl and poured some cereal in it. I poured on the milk, grabbed a spoon, and sat down at the table.

"I'm going to be home early tonight. Early enough that I should be home when you get home."

"May I ask why?"

"I'm trading shifts with someone on Saturday, so they can take their daughter to the doctor."

"That's nice of you."

"Mmm." And she was then lost into her little world of the newspaper and coffee.

I finished my cereal in silence. When I finished, I rinsed the bowl and put it in the dishwasher. I grabbed my bag from the back of my chair.

"See you later." I said, while walking to the door.

"See you tonight, honey."

As soon as I was out of the door, my earbuds were in and I was blasting "Wake Up" by Black Veil Brides. I walked to school, rotating through my Black Veil Brides playlist, while thinking about last week's announcement.

Last week we had found out that the Greek Gods and Goddesses were real. Apparently, the 'mist' had fallen, and they were forced to show that they were still alive. The gods and goddesses also had children, demigods, the children of a god/goddess and a mortal. The demigods were scattered among us. We were told that these demigods would help protect us against the monsters of Greek 'Mythology', who were also real.

I got to school and left my earbuds in. Most kids would take them out and find their friends. Well, I'm antisocial, nowhere near popular, and I'd rather listen to my music. Besides, most people don't like me because, apparently, I believe to much about ghosts and demons, and read too much into things claiming that it was a sign from a demon or ghost. Whatever. I'll  believe whatever I want to believe. They don't like it, they can leave.

Anyway, I went to my locker, to meet with my only friend, Hazel Levesque. Hazel is a 5'3 girl, with brown cinnamon curls, golden eyes, and skin the color of roasted coffee beans. As I turn down the hall toward my locker, I see Hazel already waited there.
