"Class, it's time for lunch." There was a collective sigh of relief as everyone slammed their workbooks closed. The class got up, grabbed their stuff, and stormed toward the door, while I slowly closed my book, gathered my things into a neat pile, and tied up my honey blonde hair into a messy bun.

"Lisa, you need to head to lunch." Mr. Williams told me.

"Yes, sir." I say, walking out the door.

"Lisa!" someone shouts from down the hall. I look towards the shout, and see my best friend Emma. I smile at her and wave as I make my way down the hall.

~~~Emma's POV.~~~
"Lisa!" I call, seeing my best friend. She looks toward me, smiles, and waves. I open up my locker to put away books from this morning. Lisa walks over, and opens her locker, which is next to mine. I look over to her. She's in a light gray t-shirt, skinny jeans, and converse, with a red and black flannel around her waist. The red in the flannel with the tan of her skin is beautiful. She's beautiful. Ack, no, stop! I need to stop thinking about that. She's straight. She doesn't like me that way.
"Hey Em? You okay?" Lisa asks.
"Huh?"
"You were out of it. Are you alright?" she asks. I look into her eyes, her lovely gray eyes. They were the same gray as storm clouds.
"Oh, uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm good." I answer, turning back to my locker. We both start gathering up our books for the afternoon, when suddenly someone slams into the locker next to me.
"Hey nerd." the person says, shoving my books to the floor and scattering my pencils.
~~~Lisa's POV.~~~

Someone slams into Emma's locker. "Hey nerd." they say, sending her books crashing to the ground and her pencils scattered across the floor. "Maybe we should put the trash in the trash can guys." the boy said, turning to his friends. Emma flinched back toward her locker.

"No, please..." she said, her voice barely above a whisper. The boys started laughing, and moving toward her. This was not acceptable.

"Hey!" I shouted, pushing Emma behind me. "Let her be."

"Oh, little girl going to stick up for her little friend? How cute." one of the boys said, laughing at us. They started moving toward her again.

"I said, leave her alone." I growled out. The boys glanced at each other, obviously a bit nervous.

"Move along boys. They aren't worth it." I heard a new voice say. All of us look over, and we see a girl with choppy brown hair with a feather and braids. She had beaten up combat boots, blue skinny jeans, and an orange shirt with the words "Camp Half-Blood" in black letters with a flying horse. She also appears to have a knife at her side? The boys follow her advice, stalking off towards the lunchroom. The girl runs over to us.

"Are you alright? Did they hurt you?" she asks. As we all go down to the floor to pick up Emma's things.

"We're okay. Thanks. Em?"

"Yeah?"

"You alright?"

"Just a little rattled."

"I'm glad you guys aren't hurt. My name's Piper, Piper McLean."

"I'm Lisa, Lisa Quinn, and this is Emma Mathews." Piper's eyes seem to light up when she hears Emma's  name. That's weird.

"Nice to meet you." Piper says. We finish gathering Emma's things, then head toward the lunchroom. We all go to the lunch line. Piper and I both get the vegetarian meal.

"Are you a vegetarian too?" we both ask at the same time. "Yeah." we both say laughing.

Once the three of us sit down, the principal goes to the stage.

"Children, there is someone who needs to tell you something very important. Would Piper McLean please come to the front of the room?" Piper stands up, sending Emma and I small smiles. She walks to the front, and takes the microphone from the principal.

"Thank you. Now, there is something you must all know. The Greek gods are real. So are monsters and demigods."

Before Piper can continue, someone yells out asking what demigods are

Piper continues. "Demigods are the children of gods and mortals. For example, my mother is the goddess Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty, and my father is a mortal."

She explains for awhile longer, telling us about the gods, demigods, monsters, the mist, and many other things.  Then she says something to surprise me even more.

"Would Emma Matthews come up here please?" Emma slowly stands up, giving me a nervous look, before going to the front. Piper begins again. "This is Emma Matthews. She's my sister." Gasps filled the room, from everyone except Piper. "She is a daughter of Aphrodite." An image of a dove appeared over Emma's head.

"I- I am?" Emma asked.

"Yes." Piper responded. "And now you get to come to Camp Half-Blood. C'mon, let's go tell your dad." Piper and Emma came back to our seats. "C'mon Lisa. You're coming with us."

"O-okay." I said. Emma blushed. I wondered what that was about. We all head out to the lockers, to get our stuff. Then we go outside. Piper leads us to a beat up van that says 'Delphi Strawberries' on the side in faded letters. We climb in, and Emma gives Piper the address to her house.

***short time skip***

We went to Emma's house, and she got some of her things together. We told her dad, and he handled it fairly well. Then we went to my house, picked up a few things, and I left a note for my mom. Not that she's care, but oh well. Now we're on our way to Camp Half-Blood.

***another time skip because its 11pm and I want to get this posted before bed***

***few months later***

Emma and I live at Camp Half-Blood with Piper and our friends. I found out that I'm a daughter of Hermes. Emma, my best friend and girlfriend, is a daughter of Aphrodite, which we already knew. She asked me out 2 weeks after we got to Camp. We've been dating ever since. Camp is amazing.
