I stood up and waved goodbye at the boy that wrote me the note. He smiled more and waved back. I walked out of the classroom and looked at my schedule. Algebra with Mrs.Fedelity.. Great.. Algebra/Math is my worst subject.. This should be fun..
*SKIPPING ALGEBRA AND GOING ONTO LUNCH*
After quickly dropping my bag and books off at my locker, I looked at a clock on the wall and noticed it was lunch time. I had no problem finding the cafeteria, considering there was a huge sign outside the door that said "Food Court".. I pulled the door open, walked in and looked around. Everyone was either waiting in line for their food or sitting down and laughing with their friends. I walked over to an empty table, deciding I wasnt hungry at the moment, and sat down. I was welcomed by a bunch of mean looking girls wearing all pink, surrounding me. I looked at each of them.
"H-hi.." I stuttered slightly as I looked at them. Most of them just scoffed at my poor attempt to be outgoing and friendly to them.
"Youre in our spot!" One of them, Im assuming she was the "leader" of the little group, said and she roughly pushed me out of the seat I was in. I decided to just not say anything back, since I didnt want any trouble or enemies for that matter, on my first day of school. I stood up, walked over to the line, paid for a small salad and walked out not knowing where else I could eat. I sighed and walked over to the girls restroom and slowly made my way into a stall..
"Well Dakota.. If all else fails, theres always a bathroom stall.." I mumbled to myself and put a pile of paper towels on the ground and sat on them.. And that's where I ate lunch on my first day of school. Amazing right? Nahh..Not. At. All.
*SKIPPING THE REST OF LUNCH AND OTHER CLASSES AND GOING TO MUSIC CLASS*
I stumbled down the hall as I carried four out of five of my heavy textbooks that were required for tonights homework. I was on my way to music class now. It required a few minutes of walking and tripping, but I finally got to Ms.Doll's classroom. She welcomed me with a warm, bright smile and offered to help with my textbooks. I denied her offer, not wanting to make a bad impression with her. She's so tiny and innocent looking, after all. How could I expect her to carry MY textbooks when she looks like she could hardly carry her own if she were a student.
"Can I guess your name?" She asked, turning her head slightly and smiling more. I just nodded and smiled back, not knowing how she could guess my name out of anyones. "You are.... D-....akota?" She said pausing after the 'D' when my eyes widened. I nodded and she just let out a giggle and showed me to my seat. I could tell she was going to be my favorite teacher already..
