It was a really nice night outside in New York. Lilly's car was in front of mine and we both drove to the movie theater downtown. It looked kinda busy as we parked. We both got out of the cars and we walked in. "So. What do you wanna see?" Lilly asked me. "Whatever looks the best." I replied smiling. We walked in and you could automatically feel the cool air. Like seriously- why are movie theaters so cold?? While standing in line we decided to see this one movie about dwarfs and a thing called a hobbit and a wizard that go on an adventure. It was the second movie of the series. We got our tickets and also bought some popcorn and sodas. As we were walking to our movie I thought I saw someone- nah nevermind. I'm just thinking things. We walked in and took seats in the middle of the room. There were a lot of people in here watching it! We sat in this one middle row on the edge. The preview commercials had already started.
While we were sitting down waiting for the movie to start, three men walked into the movie and sat down directly below us. Lilly turned to me in disbelief. I'm pretty sure we were the only two people to notice who they really were. They were whispering things to each other- something about catching up with our time and stupid stuff like that. Lilly and I were basically freaking out in our minds. (I don't know if you've caught on yet, but it was Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, and Tony Stark- all undercover of course) I just kinda sat there freaking out to myself. Steve Rogers was literally a row behind me. I guess that I was so shocked to see them that I dropped my soda that was in my hand and it spilt everywhere. "What the hell was-" Steve Rogers said as he turned around looking at me. That's right, he looked at ME! "Oh, you dropped your soda." He said looking into my eyes. "Yeah, it just um.. slipped from my hands.." I replied awkwardly. Lilly was just staring at him. "Here let me go buy you a new one." Steve said. "Oh no, you don't have to-" he cut me off, "It's not a big deal." I just nodded okay. We both got up and left to go to the concession stand. I thought it was funny because I just left Lilly there. I'm pretty sure that Steve still thought that I thought that he was a normal guy. But I knew who he really was. CAPTAIN AMERICA. Hehe. We walked out and he turned to me. "You're quite pretty for such a young lady." Steve said buying me the soda. "Oh, thank you." I said. "And.. you are very handsome for such a hero."
Really, did I just say that.. I'm an idiot. "Oh so you can tell who I am?" He replied putting his hat down lower. "Just a bit." I laughed. "Damn, this was my good disguise." He said as I filled up my new cup. Was he interested in me? "So hey, maybe umm. So... do you like coffee?" Steve asked awkwardly. "Yeah, I actually own a shop downtown." I replied laughing and turning to him. "No, like, maybe we could go get some coffee sometime. To talk and stuff.. maybe!" He said awkwardly.
Wait wait wait... did he just ask me out??? I think he did.
"Sure, that sounds like fun." I said blushing. "Cool." He replied happily. He grabbed a pen out of his shirt and asked for my hand. He wrote his number on my hand! STEVE ROGERS.. ON A DATE WITH ME! I was freaking out on the inside. After that, we both walked back to the movie and watched it like nothing happened before.
When the movie was over, me and Steve gave each other a quick smile and both left. I was standing by Lilly outside. "Well that was a good movie." I said to Lilly. "Yeah. It was." She said turning to me smiling. "What?" I asked. "Your hand. Let me see it." Lilly replied. I showed her my hand with the number on it. "No way." Lilly said dropping my hand. "He gave you his number??" Lilly said with her mouth dropped open. "Maybe.. but it's no big deal really." I replied unlocking my car. "Oh my God, lucky!!" She said laughing to me. "Haha, well I gotta get home and feed Mittens (my cat)." I said and I got in my car. "Bye see you tomorrow at 10." Lilly said and we both drove off.
