I'm scared.
The stories
Of bullying,
Of abuse
Of pain
I never thought any of them would apply to me.
Maybe they still don't.
But I'm still scared.
Why can't you learn to accept the society we live in,
And the person you have raised me to be?
Why do I have to hide half my life from you for fear of not being able to live under your roof?
I get it,
And yet,
I don't.
I just want us all to live peacefully? Why do we all have such differing views?
What is so wrong with people wanting to love one another?
What is so wrong with wanting to have fun?
I understand that everyone must work, but to work hard, you can play hard.
Happiness is the key to life right?
Why won't you let me be happy?
