Glowing | Namjin AU Short story

When you see your soulmate's name, the writing glows.

"Come on Jin! You dressed in something boring for the last two years!" Jungkook whined and Taehyung stood behind him holding up a costume. "I'm not a kid! I am not dressing up like that." I snapped, and Jungkook looked ready to cry. "Fine..." I said, and took the pirate costume out of Taehyungs hands.

"Captain Jack Sparrow!" Jungkook cheered when I came out of the small ensuite in my bedroom. I rolled my eyes, and Tae fished through a black pencil case until he found a black pencil. "Eyeliner." He said, and applied it to my eyes.

"Are you sure? I'll probably look like a panda." I whined, and Jungkook grinned.

Taehyung finished and I looked in the small mirror and sighed, "I look like an alcoholic." I said, "Great! We can show the pictures at graduation!" Jungkook cheered.

We posed in front of the mirror and took pictures for a little while, to Jungkooks amusement Taehyung looked possessed in most of them.

We stepped out of the house and my mother laughed when she saw me "Have fun boys, and remember, 11 pm at the latest." She said with a stern look on her face.

"Yeah okay." I said, and rushed out of the house with Jungkook and Tae behind me.

"Jin Hyung let's go!" Taehyung cheered and began skipping down the street, Jungkook smiled after him and Taehyung stopped when he noticed that he was leaving his soulmate behind.

I kept walking, and as we walked down the street, we only collected a few pieces of candy, since a lot of parents thought we were "Too old" To go trick-or-treating.

"Hyung, let's go to the cemetery." Taehyung suggested as it neared 10 pm. "Yeah!" Jungkook said, and the both looked at me "Yeah! Let's go then." I said.

We walked down the street to the cemetery, "Jungkook you take the flashlight." I said, and handed it to him. "Thank you hyung." He said, and took the flashlight from my hands.

We arrived at the gates of the cemetery, and Jungkook shrunk towards Taehyung, "Jin hyung, you go first." He said. "Okay." I said, and climbed over the spiked gate of the cemetery, and dropped on the other side, I turned around to hear retreating footsteps, and the flashlight faded.

"Taehyung! Jungkook!" I yelled, their footsteps had faded now, I panicked, and Tried to climb over the fence again, but I cut my hands, I yelped in pain and fell down.

I turned around, and explored into the cemetery, I tripped and hit my head on a headstone, my head was bleeding now, dirt got into the cuts on my hands, but I got up and kept going, blood dripped into my left eyes, and I rubbed at it furiously.

I turned to my right and saw a faint glowing, I ran to it, it would be typical of Jungkook and Taehyung to do something like that.

I ran and yelled "Jeon Jungkook!" I was beyond mad at this point.

I arrived and saw nothing, but a tombstone.

The words written on it were glowing, Kim Namjoon.

I met my soulmate.
