I wish summer wasn't over, but I'm excited to be a sophomore. I survived a year of high school, and my second starts today.

My alarm goes off at a persistent six thirty. Right after I turn it off, my phone blows up with texts from Ari and Carter. They both know I wake up at six thirty every school day, and they hate it. They both wake up at six. They wait for me to wake up every morning. They must have planned the spam texts. I arrange a group call.

"It's about time! We have been up for thirty minuets!" Ari dramatically falls to the floor and out of the view of the camera.

"You know she would sleep in till noon if we didn't have school."Carter grins at the camera.

"Ha!" I throw mt head back. "I may sleep like nobody's business, but I could out party you any day."

Ari pops her head back into view. "True."

We later hang up, and i get ready for school. I hear shuffling downstairs which means I don't have to wake up my older brother Chance.

I run down the stairs and into the kitchen, the smell of pancakes filling the whole house. "I see you're ready. Gonna be a big senior." I grab a plate and fill it with the fluffy, golden pancakes. Chance makes breakfast every morning before school. "Oh yeah! I finally get to run for class president, and I'm starting on my campaign immediately. I have Youth and Government."

"Sounds Extraordinarily boring." I grin while dodging a punch in the arm.

"Not everyone can be musically gifted." He flicks me in the back of the head. "Hurry up, we have to go."
