Forever don't exist [ Im youngmin ]

Prom-

It was Prom night and donghyun couldnt fetch me so i will meet him there. i had a quick shower and put on my dress. did alil make up and wore my heels and head out.

Just as i head out,  i saw youngmin outside the gates. " oh youngmin oppa , hello " i bowed to him and he bowed back.  i smiled and left.

he grabbed my wrist lightly and i almost fall because of my heels. Youngmin was quick to react so he held me by my waist preventing me from falling. " Thankyou " I said and brushed my dress.

" can we go to the venue together? " Youngmin said out of the blue.

" um.. s-sure " i smiled

" how have you been? " Youngmin initiate the conversation after we got on the bus.

" im fine of course. how about you? " Jae Eun asked back

" haha what can i be happy about " Youngmin said while giving a fake laugh

" what do you me-" Jae Eun was cut off

" oh btw, do you have a prom date already? " Youngmin changed the subject,  he didnt want to end up crying because of what he did to Jae Eun.

" yeaa i do, its donghyun , how about you? " Jae Eun asked again

" oh.. thats...thats good to hear. for me,  nah i dont have one but its fine haha " Youngmin said.

after that, the trip to the prom venue was silent

Jae eun, she know deep down that she was about to burst out in tears. she misses youngmin alot she still loves youngmin. youngmin was her first love, how can she move on?? she held back her tears with fake laughters that sounded real. it would sound real because she have been faking it ever since,  ever since the first fight they had. She took afew glance at youngmin when he was looking outside the window.

the face that used to make her day brighter , the smile that used to make her have butterflies in her stomach, the eyes that she used to get lost in, the laughter that used to make her feel blessed. the kissed that used to make her cheek flush instant red, the hair that she used to ruffled everyday, the hug that used to make her feel safe and sound. she longed miss those time.

soon, they reached the venue. they both alighted the bus and went into the venue which was greeted by Donghyun

" Oh your came together. hahaha " Donghyun said as he felt his heart crash ' am i losing her so quickly already? ' he thought to herself

" oh nah, i just met youngmin at the busstop " Jae Eun said and went to link arm with Donghyun and pecked him on the cheek " you look very good today babe " jae eun said cheekily.

Youngmin felt his heart drop, at the scene he just saw. its been months. and, jae eun knew, the one who always look the best, is youngmin , she for sure know,  she was tryna show that she doesnt love youngmin anymore and showing love to donghyun, but donghyun, he knew those were just lies and she is doing it just because he is her boyfriend.

it was couple dance time and donghyun pulled Jae Eun into the center to dance with her. they were the only couple dancing. it wasnt a happy dance for rather both.

everyone expected youngmin's date to be Jae eun but turns out, she isnt. not many shipped Donghyun and Jae Eun together but some did, some even preferred Donghyun and Jae Eun than Youngmin eith Jae Eun.

Donghyun had mixed feelings. He was happy to be dancing with Jae Eun whom is a world to him but he was also sad that,  its gonna be his first and his last.

-flashback ( to some days i didnt write about) -

Donghyun's POV

" Mum, can i go overseas to study 2 days after prom? " I begged my mum to let me go overseas.

" why?  dont you always hate the idea of leaving? " My mum asked in a super confused tone.

"  Hmm i just dont wanna study in seoul anymore.  please mum " i begged.

" what about Jae Eun? have you told her? " My mum words got my tears welling up.

i kept in silence. theres no much things on my mind but nothing is coming out. without me knowing,  the tears started dripping down my from my cheeks

" You dont have to leave if you cant bear it my dear, " My mum patted me on the back.

" mum.. let me go overseas. dont tell Jae Eun about it until i leave. i wont come back until i wished to so we will just keep in touch through skype alright. promise me not to tell her anything about my departure " I told my mum

" hais, alright dear. go pack your stuff. me and dad will settle the tickets. " my mum said before leaving the room.

i turn to my bedside table. a photo of me and Jae Eun. i brushed her face, " Jae Eun ah.. If it means that u will find your forever love that is not me, i guess its better to leave. im sorry baby, i love you so much i will miss you. see you when i come back dear " I said while sobbing.

- end of flashback -

" Jae Eun ah,  erm can we have a talk " Donghyun suddenly asked jae eun

" yea sure " Jae Eun replied softly.

he pulled her to the rooftop garden, they sat on the edge backfacing the road.

" Jae Eun, do you really love me " Donghyun asked

Jae Eun hesitated awhile before defending herself saying that she of course do.

" Stop lying to yourself baby " Donghyun sighed, his tone was gentle but it was shaking.

Jae Eun looked at him and gave a confused look.

" baby, you know yourself best. you know one part of your heart, mind and soul still love him. its very obvious baby. im sorry i wasnt the best for you. in fact, i have been loving you since we were bestfriend. im not sure how things will turn out. but i know we will meet again some day.  just not anytime soon after sunday. * Donghyun unlatch the necklace and placed it in Jae Eun palm * baby, keep this with you. i know its our promise necklace but for now keep it, and when i come back, you can give it back to me or perhaps keep it for yourself. find a guy that is truly your happiness, im sorry that i wasnt able to give you the happiness like youngmin did. dont worry, im not letting you go yet nows not the right time. but hm you will know, but promise me when were not together anymore, dont be sad.  its for the best. i will still remember you and you will still be my bestfriend, how close....till then we will know. " by then, Donghyun was caressing her stained cheeks.

Jae Eun couldnt stop sobbing but she know what ever he said was true but she still love donghyun, she did.

" Dont cry princess, i will be back. i just dont know when. but by then when i come back, promise me you will still be the same and you wont forget me. " Donghyun kissed her, one last time before he leave on sunday.

Donghyun studied her features one last time. He still got lost in her eyes. all the features still does the same to Donghyun but a tear slipped on how he wont see this for years.

" Thankyou for being one of the best thing that happened in my life. i love you baby, stay safe. " Donghyun pulled her into one last hug. he hugged so tightly knowing that after he let go, she will be in good hands.

Jae Eun didnt understood why Donghyun is saying he will come back, where is he going?

" lets go back now baby, i wanna talk to youngmin too haha " Donghyun pulled her up to stand and brought her back to the prom venue.

he looked for Youngmin and went up to him

" Youngmin, i have some things to tell you.  lets go to the Park "  Donghyun said with a light smile

"remember when i told you, Jae Eun wont stay by me for long? " Donghyun said as they sat on the bench.
