It had been about fourteen years since Dr Castellar passed away; the head master of UnderAcadamy stood in his office. He stared almost unmoving through a muggy window, on to the caught-yard. Which was at the entrance to the school. And what a school it was a magnificent structure made of bricks and stone. The yard its self is what divided the girls dorms from the boys dorms, girls on the right boys on the left. But at this point in time there were little to no people staying in the dorms other then his two sons.
The end of the school year had come and gone and the summer was almost over. The head master sighed to him-self. Soon new students would join the school. A fresh band of young monsters from ages 14 to 19 awaiting to be tort the beauty of dragon-taming. A noise interrupted his thoughts. An echo of feet walking along a concrete floor. He directed his sight to the right of the caught-yard. Slowly the sound got louder until a skeleton monster could be seen making his way into view.
Sans the skeleton had spent most of the summer in bed, so seeing him up was rare. Stopping Sans lazily stuffed his hands into the pockets of his trousers. Sans wore a lazy grin and a long crack running though his left eye. Ask him how he acquired said crack and he would reply a dragon did it. However he changes the story every time you ask him. His clothing consisted of a dark leather cropped padding over a long maroon shirt, with a belt around his wasted containing varies of everything you could ever need for training dragons. Food, water, weapons and medical supplies. He also wore dark green and brown camouflage trousers and metal plated shoes.
Directing his gaze to the other end off the yard Sans narrowed his eye-sockets. He seemed to be waiting for something. After a short wile the echo of more feet stepping onto the caught yard could be heard. Clicking his neck Sans yarned but continued to stare until. A fish like monster stepped out of the shadows.
She had light blue skin and almost crimson red hair palled back into a pony tail. One eye met the skeletons the other remained closed: her right eye had serval scars running though it so she really should have worn an eye patch but just chose not to. Her outfit was both stylish and threatening at the same time. A tight navy blue shirt under a set of shoulder armour, connected to a teal cape which flowed down her back. A short leather skirt over a pare of indigo leggings. She completed the look with a pare of fur gloves and boots as well as a victorious gleam in her eye.
The sight of her seemed at amuse Sans whose smile grew wider. After a few more moments the fish spoke "oh would you look at that a short ugly bag of bones as come to meet me". Shrugging Sans replied "at lest I don't have fish breath" she smirked at him and walked closer. Continuing to insult each other they both made there way to the centre of the yard.
It was now plainly obvious why the fish had called Sans short for she was about a quarter taller than him. The two said nothing but greeted each other with a series of hand gestures and a swift hug. "hate to admit it but I missed you Undyne" Sans whispered to her winking. Undyne noogied Sans's skull and replied "me to you bone head".They seemed like good friends but ones who liked to annoy each other.
Soon after this more lighter foots steps where heard. A dinosaur like monster ran up to the two of them. She had scaly yellowish skin which was heavy scard in most places and emerald green lizard eyes. A bandage was rapped around her tail; on closer inspection it was clear to see that the end of her tail was missing and replaced with a mechanical part. The same mechanical part also replaced her right arm which was severed at the elbow. She wore a long brown leather shirt which was torn and patched up in several places and a leather belt similar to Sans's. She also wore dark brown shorts and a silver whistle around her neck.
"ALPHYS!" Undyne shouted hugging her in a tight embrace. Alphys squeaked and blushed at Undyne's fast action, Sans smiled this was his OTP. Undyne slowly let Alphys go and patted her on the head "good to see you Al". Sans made a peace symbol with his fingers and said "sup how's the arm...and the tail...and the face....and the everything". Alphys shrugged "I certainly went though the wars last year didn't I" she palled a fag from her pocket and lit it. Sans narrowed his eyes "you know that those are bad for you right Al?" Alphys blow smoke in San's face and replied "like you'd know, you don't even have lungs".
Sans rolled his eye sockets and grabbed the cigarette from Alphys mouth "Yea like that makes a difference just you watch". Smugly he took a deep puff from the fag. For a few moments it seemed as though Sans had won this little argument but then-smoke. It came through his eye sockets and from in-between his ribs. It seemed that Alphys and Undyne where going to die laughing as Sans blushed deep blue and started fanning away the smoke.
"ha- oh Sans it seemed like you where a little hot under the collar" mocked Undyne though laughs. Sans scrunched up his face "ha-ha-very *cough*-funny" he muttered. After the hilarity in what had just happened wore of the friends began to chat.
As Undyne and Alphys chatted about the summer Sans was clearly distracted. He glared up to the muggy window that the head was looking though; his smile wavered for a moment. The head nodded to him and turned away from the window. As he did Sans couldn't help but wonder what he had planed for him this year. He only had two years left at the school, not that it mattered when the head is your father you almost never leave the school. At lest that's what Sans wanted him to think. He smirked to himself and turned his attention back to Undyne and Alphys.
The head master lost interest in the scene out-side just as his sons gaze met his. Maybe if the head hadn't been so cold to his son the events of this story would be different. But unfortunately Gaster wasn't the touchy feely type. Everything from his exasperation to his clothes said back off. He wore a set of long, black, dragon-hide robes which swept down past his hands and feet. Just like his son Gaster had a long thin crack running through eye having gained it because of an failed experiment.
Gaster paced around his office. Which was old and rusting looking, piled high with old dusty books and stacks of forms. These very forms were in-fact the applications for the new students. Sitting down is his large office chair Gaster turned his attention to the un-read forms. Only about half of then would meet the standards required to join his school: only a select few of that half would really get in.
After a few minutes a form near the bottom of the pile caught his attention. He drew it out with one bony finger and read it slowly. His eye-sockets widened for a moment then relaxed. With ever inch of the prejudice he had been razed with-he spoke. "So after 12 years a human finally dared to excepted my offer".
