I've been listening to some k-drama OST, mainly Goblin's OST "Stay with me" by Chanyeol and Punch. This song inspired me to write a love story, something I don't usually write. I wrote this without really thinking out a proper plot, I just had many ideas in my head and wrote them. I kind of want to watch Goblin now... I heard so many good things about the drama (my "dramas to watch"-list is so long now Q~Q). I hope you like this story!

The city lights shone brightly around a lone figure of a boy who stood under the pouring rain. People passed by the figure, walking, and talking calmly with their companions or running to seek shelter from the rain. In the figure's right hand, he held a bouquet of carnations, azaleas, and white chrysanthemums. In his left hand, he clutched his phone tightly and closed his eyes tightly. Memories of his beloved appeared in his mind.

Her sparkling eyes which he always saw every time he saw her or closed his eyes. The feeling of holding her tightly in his arms. All of it done in a flash. They had met by chance, him saving her from an accident. Time seemed to stop when they first looked each other in the eyes. Since then, fate had made them meet in several occasions. It was as if it was destiny. Her parents never liked the boy. They had classed him as a low-life as he came from a poor family, but it did not stop them from meeting whenever they had the chance. The girl loved to say that their meeting was not a coincidence, that it was fate, destiny.

"You promised to stay with me" he muttered to himself. Slowly, tears began falling down his cheeks. Without a second thought, he ran through the crowd to see her. It was sudden when he got the text from her. The boy hailed a taxi and hurriedly got in "To the airport. Please hurry". Once he got to the airport, he ran like no tomorrow, looking around for his beloved.

A girl stood with her family, her baggage beside her. "It's for the best" her father said as he put a hand on his daughter's shoulder. "That boy is a hindrance to your dream" her mother said. The girl clutched her baggage tightly in anger. She knew better than talk back to her parents. Taking a deep breathe, she wanted to express herself, "He is not a hindrance". Without a second to waste to hear what her parents would say next, she turned around and headed for the check-in hesitantly.

A voice called out her name. The said girl turned around and saw the boy she loved. He ran to her, hugging her in his arms. They stared at each other, their eyes gazing at each other lovingly. Slowly the gap between them became smaller as they shared a passionate kiss. Tears fell on the girl's cheeks as she closed her eyes to deepen the kiss. "Why so sudden?" he asked the girl as they pulled away from the kiss.

The girl's parents saw the scene before them. The father was outraged and separated the lovers. "What do you think you're doing boy?" he exclaimed loudly, gathering the attention of many people in the airport. "I love her!" the boy exclaimed. Rea automatically stood in front of her lover to protect him from her father's wrath. "What do you think you're doing with that peasant?!" her mother demanded. "I love him, we love each other! Can't you just let me be with him?!" the girl answered back, not caring anymore if she got in trouble.

The boy stood behind his lover quietly, watching as the family quarrelled about the daughter's future. Breaking the quarrel, the boy called out to her gently. The said girl turned around to face her lover, tears threatening to fall. "Go, go to England and follow your dream" he whispered, his gaze serious and loving with evident sadness. "Why?" his lover asked desperately. It surprised her to hear such words coming out from his mouth. "I don't want you to fight with your parents, they're your family" he explained. The boy hugged her, whispering in her ear "I'll wait for you". The girl sobbed in to her lover's chest. In the end she left, much to her family's expectations. Before the boy could leave, Rea's father grabbed his arm and told him threateningly "You are still a poor excuse of a brat. A low-life like you should just forget about being together with my daughter".

Three years have passed since the day they departed from each other. The couple had kept in touch months after she left, but now it just drifted away in the wind. The girl had forgotten about her lover, and continued to look towards the future. She had given up hope in ever meeting him again, but her heart said otherwise. All she had wanted was to forget. Those great times they had together? They were nothing but a dream which she wants to wake up from. The boy waited patiently for his lover to come back. Many times, his hope wavered, but he wanted to hold on to the memories they had together. It hurt him to say what he said, to let her go, but for love he would wait for her.

As if it was destiny, the pair bumped into each other. Rea had recently returned. She looked up to see who she walked into. A pair of brown eyes stared at her familiarly. "I'm sorry" she apologized. As she started to walk away, a soft voice said her name. The single word which came out of the man's mouth surprised her. Before the woman could ask how he knew her name, the man had hugged her, tears falling. "You're back". The woman, realizing who it was, hugged the man back "I'm back. I'm sorry I gave up". Their hearts raced, long buried feelings resurfaced. The man who was once considered a poor, low-class boy had become a successful man. Though her parents still disliked him, the girl had enough and did not want to let go of him again. She had given up on him, but meeting each other again made her realize her mistake. They were destined to be since they met.
