You groaned out in frustration as you heard your phone alarm go off on the bedside table next to you. You had work today and you were really not feeling it. I mean who else would want to get up at 7 in the morning to go to work? Especially when that means you have to break apart from your boyfriends arms. You let out a small sigh and turned off the alarm, attempting to get up. That is, until Ethan decided to grab you by the waist and pull you back in his arms.
"Where do you think you're going?" he said in his raspy morning voice. You chuckled and turned to him while still being in his arms. "I have to go to work baby." he then suddenly frowned and started playing with your hair, wrapping a small strand around his index finger. "Noooo stay here with me and cuddle." he whined, earning a giggle from you. "I would love to but I have to go Ethan." You then got up, breaking from his hold and walked over to the dresser. You started to take off your shorts, slipping them down your legs slowly. "Yeah, you're definitely not going anywhere now." Ethan then got up from the bed and once again grabbed you by your waist, pulling you back on the bed with him. He then slapped your ass and chuckled giving you a wink. "E I have to go or i'll be late!" you whined. "Baby please call in sick, I just wanna cuddle with you all day." he frowned, giving you the puppy eyes.
'God damn it Ethan' you thought to yourself. You decided you'd give in and not go, you weren't feeling like going anyways. And how could you say no to that face? You rolled your eyes a bit and picked up your phone to call your boss, giving in. "Fine" you said as Ethan's eyes lit up. "Yes!" he smiled and pulled you closer to him, placing small kisses all over your face. "Ethan!" you laughed then signaled for him to stop because your boss answered the phone.
"Yes hi Miranda, I don't think I'll be able to make it to work today. I woke up not feeling so hot." you looked over as you saw Ethan smile and bite down on his lip. "Ok thank you, sorry for such a short notice." you then ended the call and glanced over at your boyfriend. "Guess I'm not going to work today." you said. Suddenly Ethan flipped you both around so that he was hovering over you and pressed his soft lips against yours. You kissed back, your lips moving in sync with one another. You wrapped your arms around his neck, as Ethan then broke the kiss. "I'm cold baby." he whined. You giggled and moved him so he was next to you, wrapping your arms around him as you also wrapped the blanket around both of you. "I got you." you whispered as you laid your head down on his chest. "I know, you always do." he said with a cheesy smile.
You pecked his lips and laid there with Ethan, talking about the world and your future together. It started to get quiet as you both laid there in silence, both of you content with the moment. "I love you princess." he said as he pressed a kiss to your temple, closing his eyes while you followed along afterwards.
No matter how cold it was, you always felt the warmest with Ethan by your side.
