Cody knew his best friend had mental illness's for he was told when his mother thought he was old enough to understand them. He knew that they illness's can be straight up hell and troubling for the person, so Cody did all that he could for his buddy to smile and laugh. The actions were far and in between but they were real and true, he was glad they weren't fake or a mask.
As he threw the ball at his teammate but keeping an eye out for Jace because the smallest thing could trigger the voices and sometimes the images like to pop out and freak him out too. He knew all this because Jace told him once at a sleep over when he had a panic attack trying to get out of the bathtub. Cody remembers that day very well. They were twelve and got all muddy from running and He knew about all his mental illness's he just didn't know how bad till that day. He remembers Jace telling him in the bathroom as they were getting undressed that the voices wanted him to bash his head into the wall four times. The reason? because Cody scored four points against Jace.
He tried to stop him but one second he had his wrist in both of his hands than the next he tore away from him and proceeded to bash his head three times before he grabbed him again. By that time his head was bleeding and his eyes were dilated and he was mumbling something under his breathe. Cody remembers screaming at his mom to 'come here! please!' before Jace gently hit his head one more time on the wall. He panicked and begged him why he did it one more time for he heard the whimper of pain, even if it was gentle. The only response his friend gave was he would have been punished if he didn't do all four.
That day was the day that Cody knew his best friend had some very powerful demons.

As Jace ran the mile he kept seeing the little girl in the field picking the flowers before turning towards him and they burst into flames. He slowed down his pace before shaking his head as he turned away and sprinted on with the mile. She sometimes appeared right next to him and reach out for him and when he ran pasted her not even looking at her she would scream like a banshee.
He would cover his ears but he would still hear it. People running beside him gave him weird out looks before running ahead of him. Jace hated those looks. Finally when she shut up and began picking flowers all over again. Finally once his mile was done he was told his time and he went to the T.A in his class. He told her his time and moved to sit on the bleachers.
'One more year of this' he kept telling himself that. over and over it was like a broken record that he kept saying to himself. He whipped his nose as he grabbed his backpack and grabbed his water bottle taking a big sip. He stopped drinking when he saw redness in the water but it wasn't in the water.
Jace examined his hands and saw they were bloody, and when he looked to the others they didn't even blink an eye. He took a deep breathe to stop himself from panicking for this felt so real but it wasn't. It didn't seem fate was on his side as he took a breathe he saw a droplet of blood fall onto the bleachers. Covering the middle half of his face he asked the teacher if he could go to the bathroom, which the teacher only waved off. 'What an asshole' Jace thought to himself.
Once in the bathroom he tried to make the bleeding go away, stop, anything! He hated when his mind did this shit to him. He looked into the mirror and to his horror his face was clear and there was no blood coming out from his nose at all, and his hands were also clean. Biting his lip he tried to cause some sort of pain to make this hallucination stop somehow but nothing would work.
He washed his hands hard and fast but the blood would come back onto his hands like it ever disappeared. It was like a video game glitch even if you hit the barrel it'll come back just as fast, and this felt like a nightmare.
"you'd know if this was a nightmare" "let me come out Jace, I can help you. Let me have control"
To many voices he couldn't think at all, he was panicking and trying to desperately hold onto his false reality that wasn't coming back anytime soon.
Shaking his head as he kept his eyes on the mirror before putting his hands over his eyes and crouching down. He whimpered in fear keeping an eye on the ground that was filling with blood as the voice was growing louder and louder with his demands. This was by far the worst episode he's had in a long time, and he really wanted it to stop.
The bleeding was still pouring out of his nose and onto the ground. He wanted to cover his nose again but than the voice would get louder. Feeling something land on his head he jumped slightly before slowly taking a hand away for his ear and reaching towards his head. Feeling something squishy Jace bit his lip in fear before closing his eyes and grabbing it, it made a noise that he would forever want to forget.
Opening his eyes he saw what was in his hand that was right in front of his face. His eyes widen in fear as he screamed loudly, throwing the organ away from him as he backed up away from it. It was a heart. A still beating, bloody, human, heart.
"Let me in control Jace, I can stop all this is a blink of an eye"
"Just make it stop!" He screamed out as he covered his eyes again but he curled up on himself as he huddled into a corner, trying to become smaller than he was.
"My pleasure your highness"
All he could feel was darkness as he was pushed into the dark parts of his mind. He wasn't in control of his body anymore and he wasn't so mad about that.

HorrorJace stared at the mirror as he tried not to panic for he was frowning and the person staring back at him was grinning. He blinked once than twice and what he saw made him want to vomit, for his reflection was back to normal now. ✂️➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖...
