-Moms POV-

It's 1 am. When he gets home he is a dead man. I think to myself.

I call his phone, for the 900th time. His ringtone, is our song, the one we both love so much. He picks up the phone.

Jack: Oh, hey Em, baby. How are you?

Me: Where the heck are you?

Jack: What'cha talking about?

Me: Jack it's 1am. You should have been home two hours ago.

Jack: I'm sorry.

Me: Are you drinking? ...Again...

Jack: Babe.

Me: Don't babe me. When you get sober, we need to talk....

I hang up on him.
I can't believe he is drinking, again. Why... I know he is my husband, and I love him. But if he has been like this for weeks. I'm going to end it. My kids shouldn't live like this.

I lay down scrolling on Facebook, hoping he'll be home.

I call asleep, and end up waking up in the afternoon.

"Crap!"

I say out loud. The kids, what are they going to think when I tell them.

Me: Jack...

I take a pause.

Me: We need to end it...

Jack: What do you mean...?

Me: Us, we need to end this. Our kids shouldn't have to grow up with an alcoholic father. We need to divorce.

Jack: We can work this out.

Me: No, we have tried "working it out" many time before. Every time, we try you end up breaking the promise.

Jack: Fine. I'll collect my clothing and move out.

Me: I called ahead of time to get you a hotel room.

Jack: Thank you, I'll be leaving. Where are the kids?

Me: They went to school. They'll come visit every other weekend.

Jack: Ok, fine. But I want to see them now.

He starts walking closer to me. Like he's about to attack. He wasn't much of a fighter. But I was scared
