Jack was just a lad! He was the village idiot, he lived with his mother Mildrid and their cow Daisy. She told him to go out and sell Daisy as she hadn't lactated in months and she was too skinny to eat! He went out to sell Daisy at the market!

On his way to the market, a little boy approached him and asked could she have some milk from Daisy, the cow as she was very thirsty and dehydrated on this hot day. Jack told him he was sorry he could not have a drink and that he was going to sell her at the market and that he could get more money if she had plenty of milk already!

"Oh!" cried the boy, "Why would you want to sell her?"

"Because my mother and I have been living off milk for days and I didn't want to eat her so instead I have to sell her!"

"Oh I see......mmm..em" the little boy stuttered his words until he piped them out! "Can I have her?!"

"Well do you have any money?" Jack spoke and then waited for the boy to say no.

"Well I have something better than money!"

"What do you have then little boy?" Jack asked, "C'mon show me!"

The boy took out a tiny brown linen bag and then spoke: "Here I have a bag of jewels!" he began.

"Give them to me!" shouted Jack.

"Ah ah ah I need to tell you about these beans first!" Jack stood a step back! "Now to a fool these would look like old plain beans but to a person of royal descent or a fellow of great wisdom they would look like the most precious jewels that you would only see around a queen's neck!"

"Okay now gimme 'em!" Exclaimed Jack.

"Ok!" the little boy threw them up in the air and when Jack jumped to grab them the little boy ran off with Daisy!

Jack opened the bag hoping to find rich jewels but instead he saw five green beans! He then turned to get Daisy and continue walking but Daisy was gone!

The little boy who conned Jack grew up to be one of the two fellows who tricked the Emperor into wearing 'New Clothes' twenty years later!
