Emerald stayed in her room for the rest of the night and she didn't come down.
She sat on the wooden floor of her room and wept. After an hour or so she notice it was quiet Elsa must have gone to sleep in her room. Emerald rooted through her closet until she found a leather satchel with gold buckles she opened it up and put in her hairbrush, a pair of socks, her cardigan, some rope and her diary along with some pen and paper. She then crept downstairs and into the kitchen and on the table she saw a freshly baked loaf of bread. She wrapped it up and put it in her satchel and then went to the press and grabbed a jar of raspberry jam and an orange to put in her satchel in case she was hungry on her journey. She then went to the door twisted the lock and closed it ever so quietly behind her and then she ran as fast as she could away from Elsa's cottage. Elsa's real home was a huge castle made out of ice on the mountains but the Prince knew where she lived so she lived in this cottage so they wouldn't suspect anything. Emerald ran down the hill which the cottage was built on and she dashed like the wind straight to the forest. She was running so fast because she was overjoyed with the fact she had escaped unharmed that she had stopped looking where she was going and went straight down a hill and tripped over a rock and rolled all the way down when she reached the end of the hill she was knocked out cold.
