Christie's POV
I woke up with a groan. I went to rub the back of my head but I couldn't. I looked down to see chains wrapped around my wrist. I look around but don't see anyone. I do hear someone though.
"Oh you're awake. Good," a voice I didn't recognize said.
"What the hell did you do to me?" I asked weakly to the stranger.
"Wolfsbane," the stranger I know knew was a man said.
"What do you want with me?" I ask getting slightly mad he had put wolfsbane in my system.
"I have a deal to make," he said simply.
"Come into the light," I said simply.
He came into the light and I listened for a heartbeat but didn't hear one. He had dark brown hair and blue gray eyes. The ones I saw before I passed out."Who the hell are?" I question him.
"I'm James Collins, it's nice to meet you Christy Lockwood," he said smiling.
"How the f*** do you know my name?" I asked startled that he knew my name.
"I've been watching you for days. Who do you think was in the middle if the road the other day when you had your little accident with your little brother Tyler," he replied smirking.
I glared at him getting pissed.
"You almost killed us!!!" I scream at him.
"Ahh but you didn't. I knew Elijah would be there to give you his blood," he said.
"What's the deal?" I asked curiously.
"You have to help kill Elijah or I kill you. Your pick," he said while softly caressing my cheek.
I pulled my face away from his hand and said, "Rot in hell, you bastard."
He frowned but stood up.
"Fine, I'll just kill you then," he said with something in his voice that I couldn't place.
He walked out of the room and came back minutes later with a gun. He frowned.
"I had wished you would have chosen to help me kill Elijah. I think you're to pretty to die but you didn't take my deal," he said as he slowly walked towards me.
My eyes widen as he stops and points the gun at me. He pulls the trigger and a pain is ignited in my stomach.
"You get a slow and painful death," he said and then left.
I fell to the side and cried in pain. I was screaming for help but no one came. By the time someone does find me I'll be dead. My eyes were now slowly closing. I heard a door bang open but didn't have time to see what was going on when I blacked out.Elijah's POV
I ran into the house after waiting for her for our date when she never showed. I knew she would have come but then I got a bad feeling and followed her scent with some more help from the Soul Mate bond. I had found an house that was almost completely broken. I'm now listening when I heard a fate heartbeat and breathing. I ran down the hall but didn't get there in time. I found her body laying motionless on the ground. She had a bullet wound on her stomach. I felt tears coming to my eyes. I fell to the floor and crawled to her.
"No no no no no...." I said and yanked the chains off of her wrist.
I pulled her into my lap. I bit my wrist and placed it into her mouth hoping that she would magically start drinking it but she didn't. I started to cry. I cried for hours holding her in my arms. 'After a thousand years I have finally found my Soul Mate but only for her to be killed' I thought to myself still crying. I ended up falling asleep to a dream where Christy and I were normal. We were married with 3 children and my siblings and her brother got along perfectly. Her mother happily playing with her grandchildren.Third-person POV
Elijah has fallen asleep with the love of his life laying limply in his arms. But on the Other Side Christy is watching him with sad eyes. She had finally stopped crying that she had died and that she never gets to see her family and friends again. But she cried mostly over Elijah who she had confessed to herself that she loved him. She was stroking his cheek even though she knew he couldn't feel it. Then there was a voice from behind her.
"You bring the good out of him," an all to familiar voice said to Christy.
Christy turned around with a smile. She got up and ran to the person that had talked.
"Grandma," she said sadly.
"I'm gonna send you back okay. It isn't your time yet sweety. We'll meet again soon, I promise," she said and with that Christy started to see a bright white light.Christie's POV
I woke up with a gasp. I looked around and saw I was in the room where James had killed me. I heard a gasp from beside me. I turned my head and saw Elijah.
"Christy," he whispered softly tears coming from his eyes.
I was about to say something when he kissed me. I instantly kissed him back. He pulled away and hugged me tightly like he would lose me if he didn't. I hugged him with the same feeling.
"You died. I heard your heart stop. How are you alive?" he questioned very quietly.
"My grandma brought me back. She was half witch. She said it wasn't my time," I answer slightly.
"Can I tell you something?" he said.
I nodded and he took a deep breath. I was waiting for him to say something but I could tell he was taking his time.
"You may not believe this but I-I lo-love you Christy Lockwood," he said so quietly that I almost didn't hear him.
I pulled away and looked him in the eyes. His beautiful brown ones pleading me to say something. But I didn't say anything instead I kissed him. He kissed me back wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me as close as possible.
"I love you too Elijah Mikaelson," I replied once I pulled away.
He looked at me smiling a huge smile. He leaned in to kiss me once again and I let him.
