"Sissy wake up or you gone be late to your new school"

I opened my eyes to see my little brother in my face, I smiled at him and got up, picking him up outta my lap and placing him on the floor

"Thank you munchkin" I said kissing his forehead and going to the bathroom

"I not a mumchken" he yelled running down the stairs after hitting my arm

I knocked on Jamie's door to make sure she was awake, I opened the door to see her still fast asleep

"Jamie" I yelled into her ear making her hop up out of bed and fall to the floor "time for school" I said running out of her room before she could attack me

I walked back into my bathroom and took a quick shower and throwing on black skinny jeans, pink crop top and white huaraches. I took my braided hair out of the bun it was in and let my braids fall to my back

"Naomi can I wear your gold sandals thanks I love you" Jamie said all in one breath while grabbing my sandals from under my bed

"Sure" I said not that my answer mattered either way

"Girls come down for breakfast" my mom yelled

"We're coming" I yelled back "so how you feeling James" I asked her as I put on my earrings

"Okay I guess, I'm still a little pissed that we had to move in the middle of the school year but this house is lit as fuck and I'm happy for dad" she said while brushing her hair and putting it in a ponytail

I nodded my head in agreement, my dad had gotten a big job opportunity at a big law firm, even though moving from Chicago to California was a big change I would do anything for my family

"You're the senior you should be the angry one" Jamie added looking at me

"Eh I don't care plus I've been looking at colleges in Cali so it's a win win I guess" I grabbed my bag and we both walked down the stairs to see grits, eggs and bacon on the table. My mouth started to water just looking at the food

"Hey knuckle heads" my dad said walking down the stairs while trying to tie his tie

"Morning dad" Jamie said and I simply nodded my head at him because I was too busy stuffing my face

"Good morning love" my mom said walking over to my dad and tied his tie for him

"What would I do without you" his said kissing my moms lips causing Kaiden to yell eww "hey that's not ew it's beautiful" my dad said taking a piece of bacon off my plate

I glared at him as he popped it in his mouth and smiling at me

"Bryan your food is right here don't eat hers" my mom said shaking her head

"Can you wrap it up for me I have to be to the office"

My mom grabbed Syran Wrap from the cabinet and wrapped my dads plate and handed it to him

"Okay I'm off and I wanna hear all about you guys first day when I get off" he said looking at me and Jaime

"Kay love you" we both said

He kissed our foreheads and my mom and then headed out

"Alright whose next to go" my mom said looking between me, Jaime and Kaden

"Me" Kaden said " I wanna go to school"

"One more year Kaiden and you're out of here too" Jaime said standing up and grabbing her bag and I did the same

"And I can't wait" my mom said

"Love you mom see ya Kaiden" I yelled as we headed toward the door

"See you girls have a good day I love you"

I walked to my car and saw our neighbor storm out of her house and hop into her car she looked pissed so I tried to be nice and wave, but she just drove off rude I thought as I got in my car

"White people so boujee" Jaime said shaking her head and hooking her phone up to the aux cord

"I swear they think they all that and a bag of chips" I said driving toward our new school after putting the address in my GPS

"I hope there's not a lot of girls like her at this school or i will be on the first flight back to Chi town"

I laughed while nodding in agreement

We pulled up to the school after almost getting lost because my GPS started to glitch

"This school is huge" Jaime said getting out of the car and looking at the building and not watching where she was going

I got out of the car after pulling my schedule out of the front pocket of my book bag

"Watch where you're going" was all I heard as I walked up beside my sister I looked at the white girl and chuckled because she really thought my sister was scared of her

She turned around "are you laughing at me" she questioned

I rolled my eyes here we go I thought to myself while half listening to what she was saying; but when the girl said "I will end you" I looked at her and rolled my eyes

"Your white ass don't scare us" I said walking past her with Jaime behind me the nerve of that bitch

"She really thought this was Mean Girls" Jaime said making me laugh I walked to my locker and put the binders I wouldn't need inside, and just leaned against it waiting for the bell to ring

"I know she really thought we were about to be scared of her Barbie please"

"Speaking of her" Jaime said and I turned to see her walking our way but I noticed as she walked all the other students moved out of her way like she was the queen or something, I scoffed you have got to be kidding me

"What are you obsessed with me or something" I heard her say she really wanna try me today

I ignored her until I felt her locker hit me and the back of the head "watch it white girl" I said getting in her face, I don't play that shit

"Or what black girl you gone beat my ass"

I laughed with Jaime and we turned to leave so I could help Jaime find her first period class

"I hate their type" I heard her mumble me and Jaime looked at each other to confirm that we heard her right I turned and walked up to her

"What type" I questioned

"Black girls that act like y'all" she said plainly like it was nothing

"Racist bitch" Jaime said

"I'm not racist I said I hate your type of black girls, like black girls that act like y'all"

"And how do we act" I asked cocking my head to the side

"Ghetto like this isn't the hood" she said putting emphasis around hood

I laughed and turned to leave but before I left I looked at her "if this was the hood I would've been kicked your ass"
