I sat in Spanish class next to Taylor, who has surprisingly become a good friend over a short number of days; thankfully she is the opposite of Alexis and super sweet and nice.

"I've known Alexis since we were six and I know when she's jealous and she
is super jealous" Taylor said shaking her head

"Wait are you just friends with me to" before i could finish she shook her head No

"No of course not you're awesome"

"Okay good because you're starting to become a good friend and I don't want to be used just to make someone jealous"

"Trust me that's not the case"

"What did she say when she was talking to you" I asked out of curiosity

"She wants to be friends but she's not understanding what I'm saying, or trying to all she she's thinking is Naomi came and ruined everything but that's not the case I was been going to stop the friendship the situation with you was just the icing on the cake"

"Was she really that bad" I asked

"Not at first but when her dad left her mom she just turned evil and blamed everyone including herself"

"That's sad, but isn't an excuse to treat anyone like shit"

"Yeah I thought after a year or so she'll go back to normal but it's been like two years, she started hanging out with Shelby who we both used to hate; I just want the normal Alexis back" Taylor said looking sad making me feel bad for her

"What kind of cookie does Jaime owe you"

She looked up at me laughing "a big chocolate chip cookie, because she said if I held my breath longer than her she would bake me a big ass cookie"

I laughed "oh gosh where was I when this happened"

"Lost in LaLa Land texting Jason" she sang his name making me roll my eyes playfully

"Taylor don't start" I said feeling my cheeks heat up

"I always thought him and Alexis were a good couple but seeing you two together changes my mind" I smiled at her

"How long has Alexis liked Jason"

"Since tenth grade, sometimes I think she only likes him because he's reminds her of her dad; he's rich, smart, handsome and funny"

"She started liking him after her dad left, so Jason's like a substitute" I said more to myself "does she get to see her dad a lot"

Taylor looked at her desk as if she was unsure of what to say "I won't go blabbering my mouth off to people, but if you don't want to tell me it's fine" I said

"No it's fine, but uh her dad works a lot so she rarely sees him at all; and I know it hurts her even though she tries to hide it"

"Oh" I said feeling kind of bad about all the bad things I said to Alexis

"So are you ready for tryouts" Taylor said cheerfully

I smiled big "yes I love cheering I just hope Alexis judges me off of my skills and not on the hate she has for me"

The bell rung and me and Taylor walked out to her locker first than to mine to get our bags, my phone vibrated and I took it out my pocket

I smiled at her message and pulled my gym bag out of my locker. Thunder rumbled loudly outside scaring me and making Taylor jump
