chapter 2

(STILL MAX'S POV)

"Max!" David yelled as i snapped out of my deep thinking session, "it's time for our daily activity! so today, blah blah blah..."

'man, i'm so not in the mood to listen to David right now' i thought to myself, i looked over at Y/N and saw she wasn't really kean on listening to him either.

i walked over, and sat next to her, leaned over and whispered, "hey princess, what's say you, me, and the gang escape this hell hole for a while?"

she gave me this strange look, probably cause i was being kinda nice, and nodded her head.

i grabbed Nikki and Neil's attention, and motioned towards the forest, they looked at eachother, and both nodded

"hey, David, can you sing the official camp song?" Nikki asked, "i sure can!" he said pulling out his guitar

as soon as he started singing, i grabbed Y/N's hand and we all hauled ass towards the forest.

after a bit of running, we stopped to catch our breath, then Y/N realised i was holding her hand, and quickly jerked it away, and gave me a look that said, "what the fuck?"

i gave her the same look, making her look confused, and i just chuckled. "wOAH! LOOK!" Nikki exclaimed, pointing at a trail i'd never seen

"Nikki calm the hell down, what's so exciting about a damn path?" i asked, Nikki just looked at me and whispered, "adventuuuuurrreeeee."

she then ran down the trail, Neil following behind her yelling, "Nikki slow down!" i looked at Y/N and she slowly started walking down the path, and i walked with her.

YOUR POV

Max slowly walked next to me, i then looked down at his hand, it was really close to mine, pretty much touching me, so i slowly put my hand in his, and held it.

he realised this and looked at me like i was crazy, "and just what the hell do you think you're doing?" he asked, pulling his hand away, i then became a stuttering mess

"well, i was just, uh, i-i just thought that uh.." i could barely get anything out, then, i started shaking, "the fuck is wrong with you?" he asked, i just looked at him, then ran back to camp.

David saw me as i ran back from the woods, and gave me a stern look, "Y/N, were you trying to escape camp?" he asked, i just looked at him, still shaking a bit and nodded, "i... i'm sorry sir." i said, quietly walking back to the cabin

i sat on my bed, and sighed softly, "why did i hold his hand? why did i start shaking? do i like him? no! there is no way i like him." i continued rambling to myself til i heard a knock on the cabin door, "Y/N, you ok?" it was Neil, i sighed and opened the door

"i'm fine Neil.." i said, sitting back down on my bed, "are you sure?" he asked, sitting next to me, "yeah, i just... i don't know.." i said, staring at Neil

"it's Max, isn't it?" he asked, all i did was nod, "i can tell him to try and dial down the meanness, he's always like this, i'm sorry." he said, giving me a smile, "no, it's not that, it's just... i think i... i think i like him." you said, finally admitting

"woah, someone, liking Max? i was not expecting that." he said, laughing softly, "maybe you should tell him?" he said, i shook my head really fast, "no! i can't do that! he'll probably hate me more than he already does!" i said, then, a loud knock was heard from the door

"hey! what's going on in there?! i wanna be included!" yelled Nikki, i giggled, and let her in, and explained everything

"wow.. you should tOTALLY TELL HIM!" she practically screamed, "shhh!" i said, "i'm trying to keep this on the downlow!" then, Max opened the cabin door

"what's going on in here?" he asked, trying to comprehend the situation, "oh, uh, we're just talking to Y/N." Neil said, and started talking about a random topic, then Nikki joined in, and i did too

we all ended up laughing so hard when Max left, "oh man! i can't believe he bought that!" Nikki said, wheezing, when we all got our laughs out, i decided i should tell Max

"guys, i think i'm gonna tell Max.." i said, "really! thats great!" Nikki said, i stood up to walk out the door, but then stopped myself "tomorrow." i said, i then turned around, and jumped right on my bed, and fell asleep.
