hello! thank you for being patient, we have finally counted up all of the nominations.
the rules have changed this year. in order to be a finalist in each category, you have to have a certain number of nominations. that's why we said that nominations are unlimited because the requirements to make it to the next round were a secret lol y'all could've nominated someone one hundred times if you wanted to, but oh well.
and while the nominations were counted up, i noticed that a lot of you didn't specify how many times you wanted to nominate a writer, reader, or book.
as stated in the nominations chapter, if you don't type + and a digit next to it, then it counts as only one nomination. therefore, a lot of great writers, books, and readers didn't make it to the next round because of it.
i believe we had more than 1k nominations this year which is amazing. and it's even better that readers gets to be a part of the awards as well.

we're still trying to decide which reader and writer deserves an honorable mention, and popularity is completely irrelevant in our decision.
we will choose a reader and writer that is always positive, loves to support every writer in every way, never throws shade, and simply blesses wattpad with their presence.
