I stood there, silently on the porch of the house.  The house was a good sized house.  Two story's, with a large, fancy door standing in the middle of a marble porch.  Above the porch was a giant, grand view window, with a couple couches and a huge TV on the back wall, by the looks of it.  I looked up in the window, as a few people just stood in front of it, staring at me in confusion.  I studied these people as I gulped and looked back at the door.  I took a big sigh as I stepped closer to the door, trying to ignore the crowd in the window.  I stepped onto the porch and looked at the door.  It was a tall black door, with a little glass at the top of it.  It looked a little creepy from the looks of it.

I took a deep breath as I knocked on the door.  "Doing this for mom, and mom only" I told myself as I released my breath. I stood back away from the door a bit as I thought.  Do I ditch and make a run for it? No, I already knocked so I need to stay with it.  Plus, I'm doing it for my mother. I took a deep breath as I waited.  "Ok, it might go alright, or these devils might try to kill me, but I already told mom, I was going to live with Rem for a while.  It might be a little scary but I can do this" I thought to myself.   I took another deep breath as the door opened.  A man dressed in white stood in the doorway.  He was leaned up against the doorway, holding a rose in one of his hands.  He kept looking at me with a creepy smile on his face.  I stepped back a little as I silently gulped.  I looked him in the eye, feeling my fear flow right through me.  Man, devils were creepy in person.

His smile grew as he gave a sweet, but creepy chuckle.  "Oh you must be Ava.  Rem mentioned something about your arrival." I was too scared to reply, so I just gave him a quick nod.  I couldn't stop staring into his eyes.  They just had pure devil in them.  I tried not to show my fear, but if I followed the fear, I would be running by now.  But I had to do this for my mom, plus, they might hurt her. He chuckled as he inched closer.  "Won't you come in, oh sweet one?"  I stepped back as he held out his hand, and gave me another creepy grin.  "Urie, don't freak her out" a voice said, as I heard footsteps.  This Devil stepped aside as a red headed boy, around the same height joined us at the door.  The red head looked at the Devil as he huffed.  "Urie, let her be. I'll take her up to Rem."  The devil nodded as he walked away from the door.

The red head huffed as he looked at me.  "Sorry, he's a little bit of a flirt. Please come in" he said as he waved me into the house.  I calmed down a bit as I stepped inside and took off my shoes. The red head looked at me strangely.  "You came without a coat? It's a little chilly out."  "No, I'm fine, just a little shocked. I'm not really comfortable around devils."  The man chuckled. "It's fine, we get that a lot here.  They might seem creepy at first, but their friendly."   He took my coat and hung it on a rack in the entrance, then he stopped to look at me.  "I'm Lindo by the way."  I put out my hand as he shook it.  "Ava." He shook it then turned.  "Rem's upstairs, I'll take you to him" Lindo said as he turned and started to walk to the staircase, with me following.  I gulped a bit, as I followed Lindo.

We were walking up the stairs as I kept quiet.  Lindo stopped on the middle platform and turned to me.  "Ava, is something wrong?" I shook my head.  "No, it's just I'm having mixed emotions right now." "Oh, well let's get going and you can tell me about it."  I nodded as he got on my left and we continued to walk up the stairs.  "If your nervous, don't be."  I shrugged a little.  "It's not just that."  Lindo stopped and faced me.  "Well, do you want to talk about it?"  I shrugged.  "Well, it's normal to be nervous with something like this, especially when it involves devils."   "I'm not actually nervous.  I.." I said as I huffed.  "Can you keep a secret?"  Lindo looked at me as he nodded.  "If you like me to.  And if you even need to talk, find me.  What is it?" I sighed then looked at him.  "I have a fear for devils and vampires.  And I was forced to come here by my mom."   Lindo looked at me in shocked.  "Oh. Well, these devils have no intention in hurting you.  Rem always nailed that into us." I looked at him as we continued up the stairs.

We walked down the hallway to a room with double doors.  "Well, here we are.  This is like the Devils hangout. No human really enters these doors, but your an exception" he said as he placed his hand on my shoulder.  I stood there, shaking a bit in fear.   "Well, I'm going back downstairs, and remember, if you need to talk, and you don't feel comfortable with Rem, come fine me."  I nodded. "Got it, thanks."  Lindo nodded as he patted my shoulder, and left down the hall.  I looked at the door as I took a deep breath.
