I sat on the sill of the window. I was thinking of a plan to discuss with Rem about my escape from the devils, when the handle jiggled. I looked at it in shock as it just shook, then someone knocked. "Rem, you in there?" a man's voice said. My eyes bulged out even more as I heard the voice. The handle jiggled some more. "Rem, unlock the door, I need to talk to you" the voice said again. I had to think fast. I couldn't be seen. I looked around the room when I noticed a fireplace. It was a brick fireplace with a rack of metal tools for it. Without any thought, I ran over and grabbed something when the door opened. Rem stepped through with Lindo as he looked at me confused. Then he chuckled.
"Out of all the things on that rack, you choose the shovel?" Lindo just dropped his head. "Ava, what would you do with a shovel?" I shrugged as I put it down. "It was a last minute thing. I didn't know it was you two." Rem dropped his head as he shook it. "And your the hunter of the family." Quickly, Lindo slammed the door shut and blocked it with the chair. "Rem, you shouldn't say that out loud. You know how Urie is." Rem nodded. "Right. Ok, we need to get you at least out of my room." He opened the door as he looked both ways down the hallway. "Ok let's go" he said as he walked out of the room. I just stood there as I looked at Lindo in confusion. "Were exiting the" "I know that" I said, cutting him off.
I entered the hallway silently, looking around. "Rem" I whispered, as I heard a door slam, making me jump. I stood there in silence, unable to move as I felt a hand on my arm. "Sorry" Lindo said as I settled myself. "Psst, this way" Rem said as he turned to the right, and walked down the hallway. I relaxed as we followed him around the corner. I kept looking behind Lindo as I noticed a shadow, moving in our direction. I stopped to study it, seeing the shadow disappear. I gasped in fear as Lindo caught my attention. "You ok?" he asked. I looked back studying the hall. "Yeah, I'll be fine" I said as we kept going.
We got to the staircase as Urie stopped us in our tracks. He leaned up against the railing as he twirled his whip around, studying the rose end. "Rem, Lindo. Is that a human you got there?" He asked still looking at the petals. Rem looked down at me and I looked in his eyes, trying to fight my fear, but I knew I was failing. Urie chuckled. "She's a cutie. can I have a turn with her?" he looked up from his rose as he looked me in the eyes. I was unable to move, or look at Rem. Urie smiled. "Rem, can I have a turn with the human?" he said as he made a whip with the stem of the rose. Rem grabbed my hand, and pulled me closer to him. "No, I want her safe." Urie chuckled as he started to swing the whip and chucked it my way. Next thing I knew, it rapped around my body, tying tightly against my arms and chest, making me unable to move. I tried to release from it but it was no use. Urie pulled me closer to him, making my chest hit his. He wrapped an arm around me as he looked into my eyes and smiled.
I gasped as I continued to stair at him. He chuckled as he turned me to face Rem and Lindo. "How long were you hiding her from me?" He said as he looked at Rem. I gulped as he started to stroke my cheek with his other hand. I tried to pull away, but every time I did, the whip tightened around me. "Rem help" I yelled as the whip tightened some more. "Now what would the others do if they found out about her?" I closed my eyes in fear. "Rem. Help." Rem looked at Urie as his stair narrowed. "Urie, let her go, now!" Rem demanded. Urie chuckled. "But why should I? Don't you want the others to know? Or better yet. You know the rules." Rem gasped as he put his hand to his side. "Rem help" I yelled, but he did nothing. Urie picked me up,cradling me in his arms, as he started to carry me down the stairs. "Rem, i'll let you know when I'm done with her" he said as we left the two alone.
