I drove to the hardware store and hesitantly parked my car. I didn't move for a whole five minutes, thinking about my decision. I was up all night before I finally made my choice, why should I back out now? I even thought about all the ways I could end it that night.
A gun? It would take too much effort to get one. A razor blade? I hated blood and it would leave me with regret after doing it. Jumping? I hated heights too much. Overdose on my meds? Don't have enough left.
The only idea I was left with was a noose. I would buy a thick rope, go home, get drunk and just do it.
Which brought me here to the hardware store. It was late in the afternoon and I wanted to get everything before darkness crept in.I scanned the isle with a blank expression on my face. I felt nothing as I searched for the thing I needed to end it all. Once I found a descent sized rope, I grabbed it from the shelf, adrenalin suddenly kicking in. I ignored it and made my way to the cash register. I tried not to make eye contact with the few customers lined up behind me who watched as I placed the item on the counter.
"That'll be six forty nine"
The sleep deprived looking woman said as she placed the rope in a plastic bag and waited impatiently, probably close to the end of her shift. I handed her a ten dollar bill and grabbed the bag, ready to leave."Keep the change." I said as I walked away.

*Norman's POV*Concern washed over me as the young man in front stood at the counter, tense and staring at the rope he was buying like he was thinking hard about his choice of item. It finally hit me when I heard his shaky voice as he told the lady she could keep the change. Why would he not want his money? The rope. Of course..
I didn't care if he was some stranger, I felt the urge to put down my items and chase after him, so that's what I did.

*Damon's POV*"Hey!" I heard a man shout. I tensed as fast heavy footsteps were coming close. I turned around to see a man with a black button up shirt, longish brown hair and broad shoulders jog towards me. He had concern written all over him. I pulled on my bothered look and glared up at the nosey stranger.
"Can I help you?" I asked rudely. The man pressed his lips together tightly and scratched the back of his head getting uncomfortable as he weakly pointed towards the bag in my hand.
"You don't needa do that, kid." He said. I looked down and laughed in frustration, shaking my head. I couldn't believe I was about to have this conversion with someone, let alone a man I just met a few seconds ago.
"Do what?" I challenged.
