The Devilish Angel

CHAPTER 1

In the year 2010, the Devilish Angel - his real name Ryder - was just a normal 23 year-old human walking past the dangerous alleys of his home city, New York. He heard a noise in one of the alleys and curiosity got the best of him and he went towards the noise. Ryder stumbled upon a ancient and old looking book. He was somehow drawn to the book and picked it up. 

Ryder didn't just want to stand in the middle of the dirty and dark alleyway so he slowly exited the alleyway but was suddenly stopped by a man in dark clothing and Ryder knowing self defense got into fighting stance before Ryder swung his fists, the man started talking and he said, "You are the chosen one, you are destined to complete these tasks." Ryder was confused on what the man was talking about so Ryder asked, "What are you talking about and what's your name?". The man was quiet for a moment and finally he said, "Read the book at your residence and you'll find out what I meant and somewhere in the book you'll find out what and who I am.", Then the man disappeared into thin air. Ryder wondered why the man spoke so formally but dismissed it and finished the walk home.

At home, Ryder wasn't too wealthy but had enough to once in awhile to treat himself to a few expensive clothing and accessories. Anyway, when Ryder walked through the front door and ran to his bedroom to start reading the mysterious book. About 10 seconds later, Ryder was leaned up on his headboard of his bed with the book in his lap. He especially as a kid loved reading so it didn't surprise him when he wanted to read the mystery book. 

The book itself was untitled and ancient looking like it was something his great grandfather would have read as a child but the book gave off a weird vibe which somehow made Ryder feel like he was supposed to read the book. He then tried to turn to the first page but it wouldn't open. Ryder felt a word coming to mind and felt the urge to say it to the book... so he did and the book opened.

 The word Ryder said out loud was, "Un-drux-ged-graph-ur" which is the word angel in the uncommon language, Enochian. Ryder mysteriously knew what he said and he was only fluent in Spanish, French, Swedish, and Italian, so he was confused on what he just said even though he understood the word. Anyways, he started to read the book and he found out the man who approached him is called Infinity, he is son of the one and only Lucifer, and he was full demon. 

He also found out about the chosen one and the picture included in the book looked almost exactly like himself he had to do a triple take on the picture and himself in the mirror. He denied that it was him in the picture like the book said it was and said that it was all a joke. He put the book down on his bedside and started to fall asleep but then he started to feel a sharp pain on his back and in his head and he screamed in pain and he touch his back to see blood and he could hear the sound of ripping flesh and bones breaking then it all went black.

Ryder woke up and felt something on his back moving then he realized he had.....wings?!? His wings were a light shade or gray with the tips black and the area near his back were a pure white. He could hear whispering but he didn't know where it was coming from, little did he know those whispers were the people's thoughts who were walking past his house. He checked his cell phone to find out he was asleep for a week?!?

The book he read before his little "coma" was still there but as he got closer to the book, it started to glow a weird reddish blue color and when he had his hand above the book it started to levitate onto his hand. He then reread the book and it said the sign of the chosen one is wings and...a tattoo near the heart? He ran to the mirror and saw that he had a small devilish heart near where his heart is. He honestly really liked the tattoo so the guy, Infinity wasn't lying when he said he was the chosen one but he didn't know the tasks were so he checked near the end of the book and there it was. The book said that he needed to complete 3 tasks in order to be free from his "curse" as he called it and each task would appear in the book after he finished accepting what he was... a devilish angel. 

Ryder then realized what happened to him wasn't bad but he couldn't leave the house with his wings or people might expose him so he checked the book to see how he could put them back in his body and the book said to think about putting the wings back in his body with a clear mind so he did. He felt each bone pop back into place into his normal back and the sound of his flesh going back together it wasn't as painful as the first time but it still stung. 

Ryder checked the book again after he knew he accepted his transformation and he found his first task which was to...find his soulmate?
