From The Beginning

Why?

After a long painful wait, they finally saw Tenma out from the E.R., sadly the doctor said some terrible news to the team. "Sadly he is not coping well with his state, for the time being it is best if he stays in bed, that means no soccer, even if its just for awhile." Everybody nodded in understanding. After the doctor left they saw the nurses pulling out the bed where Tenma is layed on. They follow the nurses to Tenma's hospital room, hoping that it wont take long for Tenma to wake up again.

They are now surrounding Tenma in the room, sad and tired faces are visible on everyone's face. "It's getting late guys, you all should probably get home." Endou said, "No! I want to stay with Tenma! I want to be with him." Shinsuke said. "After all of this happened to him how does he still go out with a wide smile on his face? Clearly he has been hiding this from us for so long....h-he.. he's been through so much." Everyone started to break down. "We all know Shinsuke but this wont help Tenma if you are exhausted." Aoi said reasonably, Shinsuke just nodded silently.

"When Tenma wakes up we will make sure to keep him happy! As long as we are here Tenma doesnt have to be sad anymore!" Shindou tried to cheer up this tense situation. Everyone else nodded with a small smile on their faces.

Soon, they all said their goodbyes and went back home to get some good rest. Things just happened so suddenly and fast. In just one day, their bestfriend/captain collapsed during soccer twice! Apperantly their captain has to go through surgery for his kidney and that he has a very tragic past that nobody ever knew of. Its hard to face reality sometimes, they all went home with scratches on their head wondering how Tenma's been holding all these for so long, how does Tenma goes out with full of hope and a wide smile? Were they blinded by his fake smile all this time?

The next morning everybody gathered in Tenma's hospital room, even Yuuchi came to see Tenma after he heard what happened. Sadly Tenma is still not concious yet, the whole team are talking to each other, giving ideas on how to make Tenma happy. Since Tenma cant play soccer so it would be more challenging since the only thing he thinks about is soccer. They all chuckled when they thought of the good times with Tenma.

"H-hi Tenma! We all hope that you will gain your conciousness soon. Everyone is worried sick here! Most of us had a really hard time sleeping last night. Please wake up soon...even Yuuchi-san came to see you..s-so...please wake up." Shindou said to Tenma almost tearing up, it calmed his mind to talk to Tenma, eventhough he knew that Tenma couldnt hear him nor could he respond.

"Tenma. Why didnt you tell us about everything that happened to you? You deal with all of that all on your own.. you are so strong you know? Heck So much stronger than me! So now i am sure that you can fight this and wake up soon!" Tsurugi said while holding Tenma's left hand

They never knew how soft Tsurugi was, and surprisingly only Tenma knew how to make Tsurugi open up. Plus Tenma was his first best friend ever since he joined Raimon, Tenma never gave up on him and now he is not going to give up on Tenma.

Suddenly Tsurugi shot his head up when he realised that Tenma's grip was stronger. "Tenma?" They all called with full of hope.

"M-mi....nna....?" They were all so happy to see Tenma finally awake! "TENMA!!!!!" Everyone called his name with extreme joy inside

Tenma just gave them a wide smile, he was glad to see how happy his team were when they see him.

"TENMA! We are so glad to see you! You have no idea how worried sick we were ever since you collapsed AGAIN!" Shinsuke scolded

"Ah.... s-so..rry.." Tenma said weakly

They all knew how weak Tenma felt, so they just let him rest first.
