Will POV
I watched John faint and sighed.
"Really Nico?" I said, feeling for a pulse
. "Sorry" Nico, shrugged. His dark eyes wide with innocence. I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Next time don't shadow travel mortals we just met"
"Fine." I picked John up (He was shorter then me) and carried him over to a park bench.
'Is he ok?" A woman asked coming up to me. I gave her my best grin, the one that could melt ice. "Sorry, he just a light headed, I'm a doctor so don't worry."
"I'm also a doctor, I work with him. Let me help him" She said feeling for his pulse.
"Heart rate is 97 bpm and he has all the symptoms of exhaustion " I said quickly. Nico grabbed his flask of water, from his black bag. He threw some on John's face
. "Nico" I snapped. He shrugged and smiled.
"Let me bring him back to the clinic"
She said briskly.
"With all due respect ma'am it's best he stays here." I said.
"Listen kid, you're just a teenager, I can help." She replied.
"Will is probably more qualified than you" Nico scoffed.
"Ignore my boyfriend" I said shooting him a glare. I looked at John's fingertips to see bits of shadow surround them.
"Nico, could you not" I said softly. He grinned and snapped his fingers, the shadows disappeared and John sat up.
"Whereamiwhathappendamideadareyoudeadwhatthehell" he muttered quickly.
"John are you ok?" The lady asked feeling his pulse.
"I'm fine Sarah" he said. John looked up at me and Nico,
"i think we need to talk" he said.
"Who are they John?" Sarah asked.
"I'm interning with John as a med student and my boyfriend is interning with Sherlock." I lied, shooting her another dazzling smile. She laughed, "interning with Sherlock?"
"We are foreign exchange students, I'm interning with the smart one as the two idiots work together"
Nico piped up. John and I both shot Nico a glare. I helped John up, noticing the slight grimace when he moved his shoulder.
"Thanks Will" John said uncertainty filling his voice
. "Anyway we should probably get going" I said. "Bye Sarah" John said smiling as Nico and I grabbed him by the arm and led him down the street. We walked a bit to a small cafe and sat down. Johns fake smile disappeared and he started at us.
"Both of you explain"
I sighed.
"So Greek Mythology is real. The monsters the gods. All of it. Well the gods have children. I'm the son of Apollo and Nico is the son of Hades. We are from a camp of demigods in New York. We all have powers that fit our parents. I am a healer, singer, and archer. Nico can raise the dead and do creepy shadow stuff. The reason you have never seen anyone before is something called the mist it stops mortals from noticing things. Sherlock can see through it, you can't. The murders you are solving is from a Greek monster, We need your help, I have something that can help you see though the mist." I explained.
He nodded so I explained the entire story. Everything about us. The fight with gaea, all our friends, and how we were assigned this quest.
Nico chimed in but mainly I spoke. When I finished I looked at John, thinking he would faint again.
Instead he nodded
"I would love to say that's the weirdest story someone has told me" I reached in my backpack and grabbed a pill
"you will be able to see everything for one day, I have 10 day long ones and one permanent one, hopefully you won't need that."
"I think Sherlock and I can help. But under one condition" John said. "What's that?" Nico asked. "You stay with us" I smiled
"deal" I stood up and gave John the pill, he swallowed it.
Nico grabbed our hands and traveled.
"Here goes nothing" John sighed.
