I wake up but this time instead of waking in my cold damp cage I wake next to a nice fire. I sit up slowly studying my surroundings making sure theirs no hidden danger ominously lurking in the dark. I look across the fire and sleeping on something similar to what I'm sleeping on is Jay. Now Jay and I had been through a lot toegether ever since we met we were best friends and I our friendship only grew stronger when our parents died. Jay no matter what. Jay rolls on her side opening one eye smiling at me. "Hey there seems like you got some good sleep," I say as I stand up slowly walking over to her. She stands up stretching in her torn jeans and black t-shirt fixing her hair a little. Now I know Jay she only fixes her hair for two reasons, a guy, or a secret and I'm going to guess theirs no guy since I'm the only one here so I'm guessing its a secret. "Alright spill it Jay I know your hiding something." She immediatly knows and sighs knowing she's been caught. "We aren't the only ones who stay here Jason." She says gesturing to some small tents set up around the fire. How did I not see those man I mustve been really outta it. " What do you mean by that," I ask curiously looking into her light blue eyes. " This is a camp for people just like us Jason a place where we can finally be safe." she says with a smile walking twoards me. My heart beats faster and I curiously wonder why I don't understand this feeling. My heart thumps loudly in my ear the closer Jay walks to me. Luckily I am interrupted by an unfamiliar voice crying "You jerk!!" I look over to see a new girl patting at her golden hair as she comes out of her tent. She says in an angry tone," You idiot you look what you did to my hair." Another new face walks out of a tent its a guy with short brown hair that falls just slightly above his eye brows. He says in an annoyed tone, " It wouldn't have gone wrong if you hadnt made me loose my focus you stupid blonde." I walk up to the two not knowing what I should say but then just say, " Hello." The girl is the first to respond and I can tell I'm going to like it here cause she says, " Oh, your quite the looker." She sizes me up like I'm some sort of prize and smirks as she gets to my eyes. She holds out her hand saying, "The names Amelia, and whats yours handsome." I look at her with a dumbfounded look and say "Jason." She grins and grabs my arm tightly saying, "Well Jason let me give you a tour of your new home." She pulls me along past Jay not giving her any attention at all and I can tell by Jays icy glare that I'm in trouble when I get back.
