After dinner ended I helped Albus collect the dishes. Setting them down on the counter, I watched Albus place the dishes in the washing machine.

"Albus, thanks for taking my chores." James chuckled. Albus gave him a look.

"I guess you owe Al now right?" I asked looking between the two. James' eyes widened and he looked towards Albus. Clearly he hadn't thought of that. Albus had a small grin but he looked at his brother.

"How about you buy me some brown hair dye, and we call it even." Albus pledged, but James wouldn't agree. Albus sighed then looked towards the creaking door. "Say mom, what chores do I have for today?" Albus asked. Mrs. Potter started to list them as James shrugged.

"Switch chores for the day should do it." He smiled before leaving the room in a rush. I sighed and turned to Albus.

"I tried." I added Albus gave a soft shrugged before continuing with the dishes. "Why don't you just use magic?" I asked Albus sighed.

"If my dad could do it all by hand in a day everyday, then we should be able to." Albus answered. "Always compared to the man I am not." I grew silent for a moment and watched Albus finish placing the last plate away. He motioned for me to follow him as we headed upstairs towards his room. The door shut and he fell onto his bed sighing. The men's dress shoes only half matching his dress hanging off the bed.

"Hey Al, couldn't you just take it off now? I mean we would be heading to bed in a hour at most." I asked and Albus looked at me. He shook his head no.

"I don't want to chance it. Knowing them they would say it was too early. I will sleep in the dress, not the helmet though." Albus finished. The door swing open after his words ended. Lily and James stood at the door. Took one picture of Albus and then smiled.

"You are aloud to take those off now." They giggled and left. Albus growled. I knew why he was angry, he had the right to be. Those two are prolonging this for their own benefit. Albus stood and pulled the helmet off his head. Opening the window he chucked it outside. I watched as he untied the ribbon, and tried to unzip his back. I stepped towards him and helped. Once the dress was off he threw it in the corner. And pulled the tights off. His shoes were ditched by this point.

"I wish they wouldn't do that." He growled grabbing pajama bottoms and pulling them onto his waist. Gabbing a shirt he slinks into it. He reach for his beanie, but I grabbed it before he did. I pulled the beanie on my head and walked out of his room. He chased after me for the beanie. "Scorpius! Not you too!" He yelled as I ran down the stairs.

We reached the living room and he almost caught up to me. Trying to just keep the beanie I ran outside the house, running closer to the house I ran around. Trying to stay near the light patches. Albus knowing the land better than I jumped out in front of me and I stumbled backwards away from him.

"Scorpius watch where you step..." Albus called reaching to grab me as I fell onto the wet dirt. Albus winced as he reached out a hand to help lift me up. I took his hand as he moved me away from the glistening wet mud. We walk inside me clutching his beanie for dear life and him laughing.

"Hey Scorpius, we traded!" He laughed I looked at him confused, as he pointed to his hair. "Since your hair is conversed in mud, you look like you have brown hair." He laughed more. I sighed and turned to him.

"You may have you beanie if you show me how to work your shower." I sigh. He nods taking his beanie and leading the way to his bathroom.

Albus' POV
I sat in the living room looking at my mud coated beanie wanting to wear it, but not wanting mud in my hair. The adults talked about anything that came to mind. I waited for Scorpius' to finish his shower.

"Hey Al, what do you like most about Hogwarts?" Mr. Malfoy asks bringing me into the conversation. I sat for a second thinking. When I knew I looked at him.

"Uh, I would have to say the library, or learning magic." I answered trying not to say Scorpius and magic. Those are the only welcoming things at Hogwarts, that I can always count on.

"What about the library?" My dad asked. I looked at him then at my beanie.

"Uh well, sleep is there, my best friend almost lives there, uh and entertaining books." I answered looking at them. My dad and mom gave a me a face. I knew what they meant. 'what are you talking about?'

"So Scorpius has a big part of enjoying Hogwarts then?" Mr. Malfoy asked. I looked at him trying to hide my shock before giving a small nod. "You see, he does the exact same thing at my house in my library. Lives in the library, to the point that he might sleep in the middle of studies." He answered.

"What are we talking about?" Scorpius asked reaching the bottom of the stares. Mr. Malfoy explained the whole conversation to him and he nodded understanding. "I agree my favorite parts of Hogwarts are the library, studying magic, and my friend." He answered and looked towards me with a big smile.

"My favorite part of Hogwarts is Scorpius." I mumbled as the two of us stood. "I am going to go to bed." Scorpius followed my movements of saying goodnight and heading to my room. When I look at my friend once again he had a light pink dusting his cheeks.

"What do you mean I am your favorite part of Hogwarts?" Scorp asked. I turned towards my bed then thought of an answer. Nothing came to mind except 'because I like you' repeating. "Albus?" He questioned again.

"Uh, because I like you Scorp. Not as a friend like either." There is a moment of silence before I speak again. "So we are sharing a room, how would you want to do this?" I asked looking at my semi big bed. Scorp just stared at me.

"Uh... We can share your bed." He answered, I felt my stomach drop a little. "You like like me?" Scorpius asked. I turned to him and took a deep breath.

"I love you Scorpius." I answered.
