Vanessa's POV
6:59 and he's here. I thought he'd be late or stand me up. I think to myself, but can't help to smile because I'm excited. I walk downstairs, and my parents are standing kind of by the door and the smile as they see me in my dress, with the beautiful, expensive, necklace around my neck that Daniel bought me. My mom and dad walk me outside and I see Daniel standing there with the most beautiful flowers in his hands and the biggest smile plastered upon his face as he see's me. "Is he your boyfriend?" My mom whispers to me. "No mom, just a friendly date to homecoming." I say with a chuckle. My dad hands me money and then I hear Daniel's voice, "No sir, don't worry about it, tonight is on me." My dad smiles at him and kisses my head and I walk over to Daniel and he hands me the flowers and hugs me. Gosh he smells amazing. He opens my door and helps me in like a real gentleman and we're off to homecoming. My heart is pounding and I'm still wanting to avoid the big question.
Daniel's POV
Wow, she looked amazing like always. I think her parents might like me. Hopefully. "So, are you ready to dance?" I ask her with a small chuckle. "I've been practicing, so I'd hope." She laughs. We finally arrive at the huge venue our school is throwing homecoming at this year. I pay for our tickets and we walk in and are greeted by our huge group of friends. We all get punch and talk for awhile and then it's time to dance with your date. I notice Vanessa look at me quickly when they announce that and look away, shy. I smile and grab her hands, "will you dance with me?" I ask her, "of course, silly." We head to the floor and we start to dance. She follows my feet. It's perfect. And in this moment, I know she's the one and I love her so damn much.
Vanessa's POV
When he asked me to dance I nearly melted inside. For some odd reason I feel so shy around him, but yet so safe and, what's that word? Um, happy. He's a really good dancer. I just follow his feet and it's like we have both been practicing this moment, this dance, forever. I realized I've been looking at his feet since we started dancing. I feel him looking down at me so I decide I should look up at him. So I do. He's smiling, he looks so adorable and like hot when he smiles. Gosh, I'm falling in love with that smile of his. "You're so adorable and cute." He tells me. I just smile. I feel myself getting more comfortable dancing with him, so I move my body closer to his, and move more freely. He's literally the sweetest. He hasn't took his eyes off of me since we've started dancing. If only he knew how I felt inside. Because like I said, I'm not showing any emotions, yet..
Daniel's POV
We finish up the first dance, I wish it could've been longer. I'm a pretty popular guy around school. One, for being pretty attractive, two, for having a pretty popular vine page with my friends. So they called me and my friends up to do some magcon type shit on stage. I hugged Vanessa and she stayed behind with the girls clapping as I ran up to the stage with the guys. We got on and all these girls started cheering, I don't even care about them. My eyes are on Vanessa. Literally. Surprisingly, her eyes are on me. We smile as we both realize this. So me and the guys take the mic. Talk a bit about how this year has been and what not and then the dj puts on some grinding songs and we grind on the floor and then he puts on freak my shit, all of us, as idiotic as we are, start freaking on each other in a line. It seems to be pretty funny to Vanessa. She's smiling and laughing! I look into her eyes and can see a little spark. That is a real laugh and smile! I hop off the stage and run over to her and pick her up and spin her around as I hug her tightly.
Vanessa's POV
Great all these whores have their eyes on the guy I think I'm actually starting to really like, I think to myself until this huge smile happens to appear on my face. I notice Daniel doesn't even care about all these girls cheering his name, his eyes and his smile stays focused on me. Gosh, he's such a sweetheart. Him and his friends start grinding on the floor after their speeches. Daniel actually looks really hot doing that. He's pretty good too. I can't help but to discreetly bite my lip watching him do that. The mood quickly changes though. Now he's being an adorable lil shit, freaking with his friends. I can't help but to laugh and smile at him. This laugh and smile feels different though. It feels.. real. Before I can even blink, I'm being swept off my feet and spun while being hugged tightly by Daniel. I think he noticed. A while of dancing with all of our friends passes and Daniel and I are saying goodbye to everyone. As we start walking out, I feel Daniel move closer to me, his fingers slip through mine as he intertwines our fingers and closes his hand, holding mine. I swear my heart is pounding and I have so many butterflies and can't help but to smile. As he drops me off in front of my house, he gets out and helps me out. What a gentleman. He hands me a copy of one of the pictures we took together. "Tonight was perfect. Thank you for saying yes." His voice is sleepy, which makes it deeper and more husky and what not. Gosh it's hot. "It wouldn't of been fun without you. So thank you for asking." I go in to hug him, he takes me by my waist and holds me. Gosh I like this. He looks down at me and smiles looking into my eyes. He leans his head in and by surprise, his lips brush against mine, he kisses me slow and passionately, I can't help but kiss him back, a few minutes later we both pull back and I smile at him and hug him one last time before I start walking up to my door. "If you ever need anything or anyone. I'm here, just text me." I hear his voice call after me. I nod and walk inside and up to my room, blushing and smiling like an idiot. I take a shower and what not. Text him good night and I immediately fall asleep.
