Sherlock laid in bed, bouncing a silver bouncy ball on the ceiling when his brother, Mycroft snatched the ball and looked Sherlock in the eyes. "Get up William. It's time for school."
"They hate me. Don't make me go Mycroft!" Sherlock tipped his pirate hat and turned to face the wall, then Mycroft picked him up, and dropped Sherlock "Get. Up" Mycroft spat and walked out of the room.
Sherlock pulled off his sleeping clothes and put on his school uniform. He trotted down the stairs and sat at the table. 'I'll show Mycroft,' Sherlock thought eyeing his older brother.
As Sherlock walked to school, his shoulder bag bumping against his side, he stopped. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up, and he looked at the forest that he and Mycroft practiced shooting arrows and fencing, he could miss school today, he was smart enough. So Sherlock made a beeline to the forest, the old leaves crunching under his newly shined shoes.
There was a figure, tied up to a tree, Sherlock didn't want to see what it was, he wanted to wait. As fast as he could, Sherlock ran and didn't look back.
When Mrs. Holmes came to pick up Sherlock, it was snowing and Sherlock was bundled up tight. They walked by the forest hand in hand, and Sherlock saw the boy again. "Mummy look!" Sherlock nodded towards the boy, he was chained up, he had blondeish hair, pointy ears and.....fangs! "Keep moving William! " Mrs. Holmes half dragged him away
"But mother," Sherlock pointed to the boy, the yellow eyes filled with tears "That is a boy."
Mrs. Holmes shook her head and pulled Sherlock on.
Supper was tastless for Sherlock. He was excused from the table and he packed some tea, bread, cheese, a blanket, and chain cutters. "That poor boy" Sherlock whispered as he headed out the door at midnight.
Sherlock's boots crunched in the snow, he sat beside the tree and the boy looked stunned and Sherlock shared the food with him. Sherlock snapped the chain and smiled,"I'm Sherlock Holmes"
"I'm John Watson. Hello.."
